This is also LL-14FE rated, which is 10 years newer than LL-04. "Better" oil is subjective unless you got multiple Blackstone oil analysis on multiple BMWs to prove it. At the end of the day, even BMW says anything previously approved is fine for the newest engines, and anyone claiming "better" is talking out of their behind.

This Pennzoil is what I've always bought for the price/specs and this is an amazing price especially for three 5-quart jugs.

I was debating getting this for my Fiat since it's SN rated, but the Chrysler MS I need isn't listed. I could use ranch dressing in my Sequoia, but the Fiat feels like a time bomb.

I usually run rotella t6 5w40 in our 3.5 ecoboost, but it's pricey. Would this work as well or is there a major difference in the European oil?

Pretty sure this is not accurate, but that is a very good price for 15 quarts of good oil. I wouldn't hesitate to use LL04 but also change my oil at around 5-6k instead of 10-15k like BMW suggests sometimes (I dont know what their most recent suggestion).

I don't know all the exact details but my understanding is that LL04 was more diesel focused because LL01 had ingredients that would hurt the DPF. I was under the impression LL04 may off slightly less protection because it has to mak compromises in order to be DPF friendly, but still a very good oil.

I use this oil on my small engines for my mowers, etc. because 5w40 covers the most temp ranges. I've never had issues. I've also used it in my 3.5 eB explorer with no issues. I stopped using the rotella for several
