SSD prices haven't gone up at all as far I know. They've been decreasing.
They've been on the rise again as production was cut. Expect nothing but up this year.

From their website for this item, which shows $499.

Wide flash compatibility. Uses TLC with DRAM.

You should have kept the order, this is the cheapest S Tier Gen4 SSD.
