Does that work? Much cheaper. How often do you replace?
I "roll" off my socks, rather than pull them off.
Then unroll as I'm washing under a stream of water.
The only "problem" with using a sock is that you MUST have spare filters (loaded with socks) ready to go, when doing a larger job …. Because: if you continue to vacuum with a clogged sock, you'll burn your motor out.
…. Those folds of the filter are to increase surface area, allowing more particles to stick before clogging the filter .. you are eliminating those folds, when using a sock…. BUT: you are extending the Life of your filter.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner, I got no Alert on your Reply/Question …. I returned here to buy more filters.
Pretty sure they do not

I have both the Craftsman and a rigid shop vac. I tried putting an extra rigid filter i had on my Craftsman and it didn't fit. It was a little bit too long if I recall correctly. Since the rigid was too long for the craftsman, maybe the craftsman will fit on the rigid. But I don't think they're the same size

Interesting, ty. Sounds like it would pair well with a dust cyclone
If you search rigid in the Q&A, a few people said they do (but didn't specify models) and 1 person said no. Fwiw
Yes socks work great to extend life of ur filter. U must clean them more often and they do restrict the flow some. I only use the sock with a general purpose filter under it to not limit flow and overheat the motor.. foam pre filters also work for course debris..
