About this Game:
- Subnautica is an underwater adventure game set on an alien ocean planet. A massive, open world full of wonder and peril awaits you!
- You have crash-landed on an alien ocean world, and the only way to go is down. Subnautica's oceans range from sun drenched shallow coral reefs to treacherous deep-sea trenches, lava fields, and bio-luminescent underwater rivers. Manage your oxygen supply as you explore kelp forests, plateaus, reefs, and winding cave systems. The water teems with life: Some of it helpful, much of it harmful.
- After crash landing in your Life Pod, the clock is ticking to find water, food, and to develop the equipment you need to explore. Collect resources from the ocean around you. Craft diving gear, lights, habitat modules, and submersibles. Venture deeper and further form to find rarer resources, allowing you to craft more advanced items.

Oh, and the modding scene is really good, too.

Little quirks can make it frustrating at times but all in all, a great way to blow $10 and 50+ hours.
When you do beat the game go check out speedruns on YouTube. Pretty awesome to see. Again - only do this AFTER the game. It will take a lot of fun out of your first go if you see the walk-through.

"In the blog post today, though, Unknown Worlds specifically addressed some of the above descriptions with a few clarifications.
"In reference to 'Games-as-a-Service,' we simply plan to continually update the game for many years to come, just like the previous two Subnautica games," it wrote. "Think our Early Access update model, expanded. No season passes. No battle passes. No subscription."
The developer added that it is "not multiplayer-focused. Co-op will be an entirely optional way to play the game. You'll be able to enjoy the game as a single-player."
