I've been hymning and hawing about these for a few days (since they've been $50). Finally bought them (didn't want to miss out, since they're now posted on SD and might sell out in the upper sizes). If they're too ugly in person, then I guess I'll simply return them. I have a couple of other color ways of these shoes (black/grey version and limestone version) and they're pretty nice.

Bummer that no coupons work on these. I bought a ton of Finish Line shoes for my kid a few weeks back when they had the ongoing New Years sale, and was able to use coupons. Oh well!

Apparently they will color the sole off white to give it an aged look. Don't ask me why, I think it's crazy to do that. The rest will be pretty much the hot lava we are all familiar with. The OG shoe is one of my missed childhood grails, and I will grab a pair regardless due to nostalgia.

Sources: mostly sneakerhead accounts on IG / social media. Google should bring up some results, too.

Gotcha, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the off-white/yellowed sole look either. They have an Air Trainer 1 color way that is pretty clean looking (Smoke Grey), but it also has that yellowed sole look (ugly imo). I guess I'll have to wait and see how the Air Tech Challenge looks. I'm sure they'll have other color ways as well. Really wish they re-released the SC II!
