I have this in another color. I paid $7. It's okay for $7 as a cheap disposable pack but at almost twice the price, it's not a great deal.
The quality is fine, but the thickness of the materials and total build value isn't that great. It's a cheap backpack, but $12 isn't really cheap enough. It probably costs Lenovo $3 to make these.
At this price I'm not sure how it gets a thumbs down.

Great commuting backpack if you're only looking to store your work laptop and few things else. Two small pockets inside the larger main compartment and one small pocket inside the smaller main compartment.
I have 2 of these, quality is good for the price.
These are great for bringing laptop from home to car to office. Balance between weight and protection. I have more durable bags for travel, but they are heavy as F and not needed for just going into the office.
Only negative, it doesn't have a water bottle pocket.

I have a crumpler backpack that cost me 150, that has great protection. You have to spend more for more material.
Lenovo do make ones with more padding, but they are heavier and cost at least double.
