Can anyone compare this ratchet to the non fuel version?

I never had a need for the ratchet but I got this 3" saw in 2021 with an extra free battery for about $123 including tax. HIGHLY recommend, a 'must have' in the toolbox

The non fuel ratchet is my most used automotive tool. I've got the fuel version too, and it's definitely got more power, but the head is a bit wider so it's not as convenient for some smaller spots (all of that information can be found in copious amounts on u-tube). Do you guys use the cutoff with any frequency? I'm pretty sure I could flip the batteries and ratchet on FB and get the cutoff down to the $60 range.

It's nice to have around. I absolutely despise having to change out discs on my cordless angle grinder. I've got a few grinders that I keep cutoff discs on but they are corded. This one is easier to maneuver, cordless, and will be able to get straighter cuts with the shoe.

Fortunately, this set comes with the slim head high speed fuel ratchet (2567-20) with 0.75" head. (Perhaps you have the 2557-20 fuel with 1.1" head.)

I have the ratchet that comes in this kit and would highly recommend.

What kind of stuff do you find yourself cutting with it typically? I guess I can see it being nice for things like expanded metal mesh, fencing.. etc. I've got one of the non-fuel 3/8" ratchets and while it's nice, it's my least-used M12 tool.

Yeah, getting two tools and two 2.5AH bats equates out to about $50/ea which is really fair all around.. plus the charger. Sometimes these deals can be just right for some people to upgrade/update things (like batteries) and resell the 'old' (but still good) stuff without a big loss.. but that also means you have to actually sell stuff rather than just ending up keeping it all.

I have both. They were ok and I didn't know what I was missing. Then the 20v dewalt cut off version came out, and that's when I knew these 12v milwaukee are kids toys. I still have to replace my m12 ratchet to dewalt 20v ratchet but if you're starting, save yourself troubles and get the real man power tools not kids power tool. There's a huge power difference and it's not even close. The size is and weight are also the same (using 1.7ah powerstack). Watch youtube videos for comparison.
I have the full flex 24v line, I have been using my m12 more. the cutoff tool is small and fits in tight spaces, I have been on a 28 foot ladder doing work on a chimney just last week, used a spider holster and had it on my belt, hate heights and it was nice going up and down not worrying about my tools falling and keeping both hands on the ladder, used it to cut a nut off behind a sink this week, Ill break it out to go through that plastic antitheft packaging. The smaller lighter drill/driver is also really nice on my belt, my flex drills/drivers arent heavy but on a belt they are, and going above my head taking out bolts for air vents and putting up blinds(today) it was really nice

I use my 3" cutoff ALL THE TIME. I do a lot of plasma cutting, so my most common use is cutting "skeletons" apart into scrap pieces. I also use it for all my "one off" stuff that needs to get done. One of the coolest things is that you can reverse the direction of the wheel so you can decide which direction the sparks go.
Everybody who uses mine goes out and buys one.

FWIW, it appears there are (at the time of posting this) a few in stock again
