The specs for the price look really good, but the price cut seems like a "too good to be true" thing and I'm worried i'm missing something here as i'm not all knowledgeable on PC's. Amazon reviews mention lots of stuttering caused by Windows 11 which you could just down-grade it to windows 10 and seems like it does the trick. If anyone has any insight into why this may not be a good gaming rig upgrade (i've got a Ryzen 2600 and Nvidia 2060 ATM) i'd love some input/feedback.

There are a lot of cheaper and better pre-built deals available online. You can easily get a 40XX series card within that budget. Look at this one below:
https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltak...09TNZ95KH/ [amazon.com]
thats a 3070

It has to be mentioned in every HP thread:

HP is notorious for using proprietary parts that make upgrading difficult--power supplies, motherboards, and even RAM (yes, I know that proprietary RAM sounds ridiculous, but they sometimes have locked higher RAM clocks that require proprietary sticks to go with their proprietary BIOS). All branches of their customer service are overseas. Throttling problems were very common in the past, but these newer models at least appear to have better air flow.

Even if the HP is $100-200 cheaper than the equivalent Cyberpower/generic pre-built company, I would highly recommend going with a builder that uses generic components.

This is a pretty good deal.

I paid more than this when I built my 5900X 6900XT computer like 20 months ago. The 3080ti is probably a better card than the 6900XT due to Ray Tracing too. The 5900X has no problem running any game I play. I play on a 1440p ultrawide monitor

If you are willing and able, you could possibly upgrade your pc to this or better, for less. 5800x3d for a gaming rig or 5900x for gaming and work, both around $300, plus a 4070ti or 7900xt for $700. Maybe a new PSU if necessary for $130.

But for an off-the-shelf option, this seems decent. 3080ti usually beats the 4070, per Gamers Nexus. It absolutely obliterates the 4060ti, so prebuilts with that gpu shouldn't be part of this discussion

I would prefer the cyberpower pre build than this one - especially when it is not easy to upgrade HP components.

People are really underselling the 3080 Ti. It is an absolute beast. It may be a generation older but it wipes the floor of most new gen cards.

As the posted above pointed out ... $300 for a CPU + $700 for a GPU gets you to a $1000. You still have RAM, HDD, Case, PSU, Motherboard, Fans, Windows license + your time and frustration that comes with building your own. This is cheaper than if you build your own.

Personally, I wouldn't grab it as I prefer to build myself, but it is hard to argue that this isn't a good value.
