FYI Target is once again offering a free $10 Target gift card when you spend at least $100 on Apple gift cards online or in stores. The deal is valid 2/11 thru 2/17 according to page 22 of the weekly ad preview:
https://weeklyad.target.com/promo...11&page=19 Ad typically indicates limit of 1 per guest, but YMMV in stores.
RedCard holders can save an additional $4.50. The discount is not equal to 5% ($5) because Target assigns a $10 charge to the "free" gift card and $90 for the remaining balance owed. Therefore RedCard 5% is based on $90 so the discount equals $4.50.

P.S. Apple has a limit of $2000 (*I believe*) to be saved to your Apple Account Balance + an additional 4 gift cards during checkout when using the Apple Store app, but the website checkout still allows 8. An individual gift card can also not exceed $2000. Gift cards can be used on hardware, apps and services.
As of iOS 15, you can add your Apple Account Balance as a card in the Wallet app. This helps to prevent some technical errors when shopping online, and allows for easier shopping when in a store.

The store told me there is a $500 daily limit.
I had a problem with one gift card because I tried to redeem it before the self checkout finished the transaction. Apple said the card was voided and still has money. Target's internal gift card department was able to confirm with the vendor that it was voided and gave me a refund.
In my case, they said somebody had already used the cards and then there was no money in the cards. The further went ahead and block. The account of the person whom they said had use the cards unfortunately unfortunately there was nothing they would do for me.
Yes old style. Even new ones are like that.
So do you know this from personal experience?
Edit: I may be wrong. I tried to cancel a pickup order and it said they may send me a gift card.

So they made a change since the last time you did it or you just assumed incorrectly?
Official pickup emails state:
"How do refunds to Apple Gift Card and Apple Account balance work?
If you paid for any portion of an item with your Apple Account balance, and are owed a refund for returning or cancelling it, we will issue that portion of refund back to your Apple Account balance. Similarly, if you paid for your new item with Apple Account balance and we owe you a trade-in refund, we'll credit it to your Apple Account balance. In either case, we'll issue this refund amount to you on an Apple Gift Card by email if your Apple Account balance is at or near the maximum limit."

Ok. Thanks
Did 2 yesterday. One today. Second one today got canceled.
I was asked to wait 24hrs before retrying but I think that was the agent's guess.
