There's only like 100 reviews stating how the coating comes off either in flakes, onto paper towels, right onto sponges when cleaning, or into food when cooking. Seems super safe 😆. It's PTFE aka Teflon coating.

Can't wait to taste the extra flavor of non-stick "granite" coating. Yum. 🤤
Project Farm made me lol, great youtube channel.
I have this that was part of a 2-pack from Costco about 2 years ago. You get what you pay for. The non-stick is hanging on but the pan seems worn for something that gets used maybe once a week. I would not buy this brand again. It's probably worth about $20 for a few years of occasional use.

carbon steel wok is cheap and non-stick using only cooking oil/grease. thin is preferred for speed to get up to cooking temperature, but for the lifetime/heirloom cookware cast iron is cheap as dirt and lasts a lifetime

Have gone through at least 3 of these. Works great until the coating wears off then everything sticks badly.
I think the worst were the Infamous Copper Pans.
They lasted a few days before the coating burn to a crisp !

Serious question to all: when frying something like eggs, do folks not add a fat like butter/oil or just rely on the nonstick coatings?

Only if you're cooking on the commercial.

Love this pan. Bought it about six months ago as it was the lowest-priced pan highly rated by Consumer Reports that also worked on my induction stove. Works great!

at the upper end rich person's grocery story in thailand (where my wife is from) they sell Lodge cast iron from America. And aside from the fact I'm not sure American cast iron is better than thai or chinese cast iron I think they have the right idea for value and durability of that pan! (but the utility of the material is probably more important than where it's made)

Agreed, I have an Utopia Kitchen cast iron ( made in China ), works just as good as any.

Tramontina Professional or nothing. Non PTFE, heavy, works, proven, reliable, is an established brand not supplying its product to YouTube shills, and lasts as long as any.

Project Farm is a shill?
