Great saw, I've used mine a ton breaking down sheet goods and 2 by X material. I actually run mine on a 5ah powerstack that comes in this deal and it delivers a little more power and runtime than a regular 5ah XR battery does. It's a perfect combo for me.

Will HD actually accept the return of the battery and discount the return of the battery when the battery is free? or give you store credit?

Yes they will, I just returned the battery yesterday myself.

They give you a refund however you want to receive it. Lookup Home Depot hack on here. There are 100s of examples over the years.
