I browsed through some things here, and there are some name-brand items. For example, the Streamlight flashlights are pretty much the normal price, so the odds of 'stacking' this $15 off discount aren't as good as if they had also dropped a bit on AMZ before the promo. Ah well...
In a few cases, I could find things cheaper than the AMZ price. A comparable Dremel (same model, a couple of extra attachments) was actually a few bucks cheaper on Ebay[ebay.com]
If you're just looking to spend less than $99 total, then this is probably the better option; But if you're planning to load up and spend the $99 to get the $15 off, then you could save a few bucks on the total.

amazon can't make the prices too cheap because they still have other promotions that stack with this. for example, the amex 50% off promo and discover 30% off will all work on these items and stack with this promotion. there is also some citi $10 and $15 off promos ass well as discover $10 off promos going around

I'm not convinced that AMZ pays these promos, without some substantial proof. The CC are the ones that stand to gain, in the forms of interest on purchases. With that said, I really doubt if AMZ cares if a 3rd party has a promo on their behalf.
