Best laptop I ever owned .... until it JUST WOULD NOT BOOT AT ALL one morning. One year & 3 WEEKS out of warranty! I replaced the motherboard with a brand new one, $500, and it worked great again... for about 5 months when it DIED AGAIN!!
Each time I called Lenovo Support and was basically told they have NO FIX for the issues, AND cannot explain WHAT the exact issues are causing it to die each time BEYOND REPAIR!!
********* AVOID THIS LAPTOP LIKE THE PLAGUE !!! ******************
I don't flip it over ever though, so I don't know anything about hinge issue.
Compared to my work laptop, it's heavier...
