About this TV Series:
Frasier is a half-hour comedy series set in Seattle, WA, which chronicles the lives of an eloquently pompous radio show host Dr. Frasier Crane, his brazen radio producer Roz, his competitive, high-brow brother Niles, their crotchety father Martin and his quirky live-in nurse Daphne.

Yeah. That was the understanding for a long time. But they decided to do it anyway since they were starting the 'new' Frasier series. They released blu-rays last year.
Anyone who is interested in buying this - just a warning that the SD quality is very poor. I already had the full set on DVDs and had ripped my own copies. But at one time the series was on sale on iTunes and I figured I'll buy it, so I can just stream the iTunes version. As soon as I played one episode I realized the quality of my own rips was so much superior. The iTunes version had a horribly low bitrate and had just an unacceptable level of artifacts in low light scenes. I immediately requested a refund. Luckily for me, the bu-rays were released just the following year, and I got them on release date.
Funnily enough - now that I have both versions I think the SD version (I.e. my own rip from DVDs) is better looking than the HD version — apart from the resolution of course. The HD version has a grainy look. I don't know if they artificially added it, or it's an artifact of the re-editing they had to do. But personally I don't like that artificial grain. The DVDs definitely have a cleaner look, albeit at lower resolution.
They started streaming the 4K version on Paramount+ though they changed the aspect ratio to 16:9. I do wonder whether they will ever sell the 4K version. I wouldn't mind buying that version.
Waiting for a package deal with this along with tossed salad and scrambled eggs.
Also, Fraiser is a top 10 all-time comedy tv show. Significantly underrated.

Curious... so if Paramount somehow agrees to "upgrade" this to HD or 4K at some point in the future, is Apple or Vudu more likely to provide that upgrade for free?

No. They don't upgrade SD to HD. They only upgrade HD to 4K
So. Paramount+ does stream at 4k, but not SB 58?
What is going on with that? I know that local streaming is done via your local station.
But there should still be a way for PPlus to get it in 4k?
They have 3 years to figure it out.

It seems only Seasons 10 and 11 are in HDX on Vudu. The rest is SD.
It's $10 lower than the lowest price ($29.99) for 264 episodes.

Really? I thought that the way it was "taped" made it too expensive to convert to HD. Maybe they did anyway.
Lol they hate when you discuss the institutionalized racism Elon Musk has exposed.
