FAO via eBay. They had a 15% Milwaukee coupon that stacked with the 20% Presidents' Day coupon. It wasn't supposed to, so after about 5 hours they took away the Milwaukee coupon.
Is there a benefit to getting this without the rail? I'm guessing the reason is that it will work with other tracks, and those tracks are less expensive?

Yes, Festool, Makita, Powertec and WEN all work. I have Powertec rails (2 x 55" with connectors) for this saw and it works perfectly. Powertec is about half the price of the Milwaukee rails, and WEN is even less.

Thanks! Good to know.

Can you cut 45 degrees with Milwaukee saw and the third party tracks?

Yes. The saw has an anti-tip feature which is most important for bevel cuts. Some reviews claim this doesn't work with third party tracks. However, it works just fine with my Powertec.

I do with my Milwaukee and WEN tracks no problem. The WEN tracks that I got are fine for each piece, but there are issues when connecting the two - the tolerance between the ends are pretty far off, though it's not tough to contend with.

Also, does the saw lock onto the track so when cutting angles, it doesn't risk tilting sideways to increase the angle ? From what I see online, aftermarket tracks work, but non of them lock the saw in place sideways. Some aftermarket tracks cannot even permit 45 degrees.

The Powertec works with the anti-tip feature. I hear the WEN tracks work also.
I emailed Powertec and they are coming out with track compatible with Milwaukee Track Saw in March. I will wait for that track.
Interesting response. My Powertec track that I bought in 2021 works perfectly with the Milwaukee anti tip. It has a lip which the anti tip plate slides under.
