I wear my bi-weekly Acuvue 2 contacts for 2-4 months, taking them out at night. They hold up well. If I notice decreased vision, or irritation, I change them.
Still pushing your luck. If you get an infection that could negate all your savings. I'd wear them for 3-4 weeks, that way you're saving some but not going crazy

You could wear the same pair of underwear for 2 months if you want..

Better idea is to get the dailies - then wear them for 3 days. They're thinner but if they don't tear it's not a big deal. That way bacteria has a max of 3 days growth on them if anything.

I haven't had any issues wearing them like this for two decades. Not that something couldn't happen, but I soak them in quality opti-free pure moist disinfecting solution every night, and wash my hands well before taking them in or out.

What do you guys do when you see the bacteria growing on them ? Do you use 3% cleaning solutions? When I use those, I've been getting damaged contacts with discontinued and blurring.

Do you guys clean at all?
If I can see bacteria then I wouldn't need to wear lenses at all.

This price seems high to be honest. Whenever my contacts (just the Acuvue Oasys) are running out I stalk around to find something. One useful tool has been contactscompare.com.

Back in October of 2023 I got 2x 24-Packs for $164.01 shipped through WebEyeCare. Brings it to about $3.41/contact. Same thing with this deal would be like $3.99?

I do the same. I believe they're all built different. Longer they last the thicker or more moist they'll be.
same, typically wear them for a month+. I just change them when they start to be uncomfortable

I wear these exact contacts for 2 months at a time with no issues. More often that not I'll replace them because of a slight tear rather than because I actually need to.

Been doing this for 20 years. Saves a ton of money. Don't listen to what the eye doctors say about "2-3 weeks." I wear contacts everyday. There have been times I've gotten through the whole summer with 1 pair of contacts.

Keep them clean and be gentle...they will last much longer than what the box says.
I have been using monthly lenses for about 3-4 months (sometimes even 6+ monhts) without any issues for the past 30 plus years. I usually throw them away just because of the guilt of using them too long and the inherent fear that I may get an infection, but not because they have become uncomfortable.

Anyways, long story short lenses are advanced silicon gel material and, if you are removing these daily and cleaning them and storing them in the solution for 6-8 hours every night, then there is little chance that something will happen to the lens itself.

I have found daily lenses to be uncomfortable for all day use, but even those can possibly last you for an entire month (although I have never tried it with daily lens).

Looking at the other comments here and my own experience, I now feel this is the "every 3000 miles oil change" garbage except from the eye doctors/lens manufacturers./

I wear Biofinity Toric, which has the base curve (BC) as 8.7. However, these ones have BC as 8.6. Is that an issue?

I would not follow this advice blindly at all. Do your own research for this topic and come to your own conclusion. Not switching out contacts MAY have LONG term detrimental effects on your eye. Capitalized letters for emphasis. MAY and LONG term. You can draw a parallel between this and smoking in a sense.

I totally wear em longer than I should for 10+ years and I haven't had much issue but again, do your own research and come to your own conclusion.

Have you read about retinal ulcers? I'm doing the same as you, but after reading about reusing dailies on reddit I'm going to stop.

I also wear Biofinity Toric lenses and Acuvue is very uncomfortable right out of the box.
I have tried various lenses during the lens fitting stage over the past several years, but every lens other than Biofinity did not work for me. BTW- I did not realize that it could be due to the different BC and always used to believe that the material of Biofinity is the only one that suits me. But it could well have been the BC.

the contact lens mafia needs to be disbanded! the whole unilateral pricing approach should
be illegal! basically they lobby against lasik as they know 99.9 percent of people could
easily get vision restoration and never wear corrective lenses or glasses ever again!
