The voice chat is always the big downfall and thats more the fault of bluetooth in general. When you enable the mic, bluetooth switches into 'phone call' mode. the headphone audio quality goes down so latency can go down and also to maintain bandwidth for the voice channel. You can overcome this by using the corded option into a mic/headphone plug on your pc. Otherwise, what you really want is a gaming headset with a dedicated dongle, which on the good ones will even allow you to have a separate voice chat channel in addition to the spatial game audio.
Thanks a ton!

Did you have audio playing the entire time while on the flight or were you wearing it purely to block the noise around? I'm curious how well ANC works with and without audio playing. I got the Q20 and with no audio playing, it's as if ANC is not enabled, I can hear EVERYTHING around me. But once I play music, that definitely takes care of any noise still noticeable otherwise.
I use my Q35 on flights with me all the time. My trick is to use earbuds + Q35. It provides a double buffer for strong NC. Works well for me without having to buy a more premium headphones. Plus, the soundcores have noise bleed so I wouldn't want to listen to loud music with them on anyways.

Play audio with the earbuds, headphones can be in either in NC or transparency mode, on/off. Works wonders imo.

I got these for $100 and thought that was a good deal. This is a fantastic deal for top notch headphones.
by any chance, can you compare them to other ANC headphones ?

I have a pair. I like mine.

Closest to a set of flagship Bose you can get under $100.00

My ears start to sweat after a few hours of listening.
may be worth a look at aftermarket pads ( did for my hyperx) . 7$ and was a game changer.

I've tested the Q30, Q35, Sony XM3/4, Sony WH900 and Bose QC35. Haven't tested the Q45 yet but comparing my experience to their marketing of the Q20/30/35/45 ANC.

Sony XM4 > Sony XM3 = Bose QC35 >> WH900 = Q45 > Q35 = Q30

As in, don't expect these to beat the Sony/Bose lines, despite the marketing as "best ANC ever, rivals the premium brands". The ANC are good, but they're not great. If the Sony XMs are the , then Soundcores are 7/10 of them. However, for the price of Soundcores vs XMs, the value for what you pay is really good.

However, that's comparing to Sony XMs are MSRP prices. Finding the refurbished XMs would be a better bang for your buck. If I could go back in time, I'd recommend scoring one of those refurbished XM3/4/5s for <$200 on eBay.

Do these have a USB dongle to connect for better mic audio? I need to use this for teams and all I can find is the Bose cans with the USB dongle.

Yes. I have the 45s and they're great headphones.
Thank you. I need to get a new set for my kid and the last set doesn't have a transparency mode so I have to yell at the top of my lungs to get his attention. Lol

No USB dongle but has 3.5mm audio cable with in-line mic that makes the mic quality fantastic. Highly recommend to go this route, works really well for me.

i have the q20, q30 and q45. the q30 is my favorite. the q45 seems to lack bass even using the EQ. however, the overall sound and build quality is excellent.

this is a pretty great deal- the battery seems to last forever and the quality is there. it accumulates sweat if you work out in these.. there are better options out there for workout headphones

Got mine for $55 at Ross around Christmas. I have a small heard and these barely fit me. Also a bit heavy. I actually prefer the comfort of my $20 JBL gaming headset, but that doesn't have noise cancellation.

Is this the one you recommended?

I like that one but others prefer the fake leather cooling gel one. You lose some anc effectiveness but it's moot if you're listening to music.

If price isn't an issue, definitely the Bose.

I just picked up an Anker Q20 that I'm not sure about. ANC seems like a joke although may be just enough that, with audio content playing, may do the trick. But the Q45 here seems like a better deal given the minimal price difference.

I can't get the link to work though, and manually looking for them on Costco isn't bringing anything up.
Q20 is an older model, the ANC has been adjust on each subsequent model release. The Q30s are tweaked and so on.
