Another "Pro" networking product that doesn't support vlans, trunking, CLI, etc. I know tp-link offers this in their Omada line, but the "Pro" moniker here feels misleading for the feature set. Unless 2.5gbe = pro in their mind.

Not the same model. Almost, but not quite. Pro model has 2.5Gbit. I don't recommend either of them.

What would you recommend in the $250 and under price point? I am using the old gen 1 Google WiFi and would prefer to upgrade to 6 or 6E WiFi. Dont think 7 is doable at that price point yet.

I've had ZERO issue with the XE75 (non pro) running as my wifi, cameras, tv blah blah without fail. Running two nodes covers a 2 story leaving no dead sports, on a wired backhaul. I would be on the pros if it had more than one dang 2.5gbps port per unit.......

I've been using the XE75 Pro for about 5 months now and have been very happy with performance. Extremely stable and easy to use the 6Ghz channel for dedicated backhaul if you don't have a wired option.

Consistently getting just over 1Gbps wired and 800-950Mbps over WiFi depending on location on my fiber connection.

This is for the non-pro model. I just purchased them from Amazon. They also have (had?) a 15% Amazon chase card cash back deal on tp-link going on so effective price about $185.

So far I love these units. Upgraded from a 3 unit velop WiFi 5 setup and 2 of these seem to cover more area.

The regular Deco XE75 was maybe but not the PRO version which is listed here. The pro's lowest price was 229.99 as far as I can tell.

It's funny how we can have such different experiences. My wired backhaul with the non-Pro units (AXE5300 from Costco) left me with occasionally disconnected nodes, driving me insane, as there's no notification when that happens. And two of my Nest cameras were continually going offline and would never reconnect UNLESS I rebooted the TP-Links. Heck, not even unplugging and plugging the cameras back in next to the TP-Link would have them come back online. Completely nuts. Always rebooting the WiFi APs was not a good look.

Anyway, I got a replacement set from Costco (no change). I moved over to the Orbi 963 and all my issues stopped. Much more expensive, but I got a great deal on them brand new at under half price. Now I get way better range and speed, and the stability thus far has been sensational.

I don't doubt your experience, though. Just, as mentioned - these things either work or they don't, and it's utterly maddening when they don't.

Your experience is consistent with what I've read from others about the costco units. I'm not sure if it's something different with the units they sale for Costco, but you're not alone in what you described. I have 8 Reolink wifi cams that seem to love these decos that connect fairly quick when remote viewing. (Got mine from TP link site)

Yeah, it drove me insane. Decided enough is enough. Either way, the additional speed and rage on the Orbis is glorious, even without the other issues. Pretty done with TP-Link.

Wow. After having Orbi (RBR series) for several years and having major intermittent issues with roaming between net areas and regular dropouts of the remote APs needing a hard reset - plus that absolute trash interface/UI - I've sworn I'll never get another.

....Do these provide real-time reports of what is actually utilizing bandwidth? I have the AxE-5300s and with paying for the parental controls you can "work backwards" to figure out data consumption, but that doesn't really help with knowing what's hogging up bandwidth in real time like routers "back in the day" could assist with.
