They mean all electric heaters produce the same amount of heat. If they made another one with the same features as this and made it twice as big there would be no difference outside of the fact that it takes up 2 times the amount of space. Oscillating features, safety standards, form factor/shape, design appeal, knobs and control type, and aesthetics is what will be different. If it's certified and all you care about is heat output, buy the cheapest one.

Unlike the other version (this one doesn't oscillate but), this one mentions in the description: "Multi-Protection Safety Features: …UL 1278-tested…"

I have a couple, good overall, can turn on/off and set high, med, low or fan from Google Assistant. Does not connect directly to Smartthings though. Can also sync with the hydrometer/thermostat from Govee from other units, humidifiers or their stand alone units so it works like a regular thermostat. Mostly good heater. My main gripe is the power range. Low is 1000watts, high is 1500watts. It would be nice if low was something like 600watts with medium at 1000 watts. It puts out a lot of heat, and the features work well, wish low was lower but other than that it's all good.

From what I can tell, the support in Home Assistant is very poor. Some people have cobbled together REST commands and scripts to control it, but I don't think you'll be doing anything fancy as far as monitoring the temperature and adjusting it via the API. Just on/off.

I have this unit, bought it when it was at $30. It heats up quickly and is very quiet. You can barely hear it. I use it with Google assistant exclusively (and pretty much never using app after the initial setup), and it has worked every time.

The only "smart" feature I'd want is a manual thermostat setting.. Don't need everything I own to connect to the internet to send stats off to our lizard overloads.

The company probably is trying to clear out inventory before the winter is gone. The unit heats well for only the small room or bathroom but has no much effects on the large space such as living room.

Just FYI, WalMart has all of their space heaters on clearance for approx 50% off. I picked up several different kinds, they're handy to have in the house and motorhome.

The basic 3-heat level ceramic (750-1500 watts) are $10, with thermostat, fan-only, and tip-over switch.

Just hooked mine up today. Super quiet. It's 15 degrees in Northeast right now and the heater warms up my room perfect, and I only have it on low heat!

I just bought this last month and while it did warm up a small room, it would trip the breaker a few times. I would be playing with my ps5 (plugged in a diferent outlet) and this thing would cause all the power in the room to shut off. I would have to unplug this heater and turn on the power from the fuse box every time. I have the heater on the other side of the room plugged on an outlet by itself. I have stopped using it since.
