Seriously. With the 7800 XT under $500 it puts them in the same price category, but the 4060ti can't come close to the same performance. But I would still love to see this drop to $450. Getting close!

Read the reviews, not good.
It's just two negative reviews actually related to the card and they seem entirely related to the drivers.

Which are pretty good for me now so it's likely a non issue.

I understand this is new and pretty good card, but I've seen used 3090s on my FB marketplace for about 450-500 quite often. I already have one 3090 and it feels still so smooth for everything I've thrown at it. GPU benchmarks mostly put 3090 above 7800XT. From pure performance levels, 3090 feels like a better choice.

I do understand that making a comparison between new and old isn't fair at all, and there's a possibility of getting a bad card from FB marketplace without any recourse. Some people do not like cards that were mined on etc too. But I wanted to mention this here for some people who might be interested.

Would a 5600x bottleneck this at 1440p? I got a 1440p 144hz monitor and a 6750xt with a 5600x and half tempted to upgrade to this. Then again I can play every game I want at 1440p with decent frames and I can always wait and upgrade with the 5000 and 8000 series cards but still this 7800xt is tempting.

Ah, I didn't know that userbenchmarks site isn't good. Google always would take me there when I'd compare GPUs so I had been relying on it. Does 7800XT perform better than 3090 in your opinion.

Regardless tho, even though many of you didn't like my opinion, it's understandable. For me what I said earlier still stands, anything that I've thrown at a used 3090 just works! 4K gaming, editing tasks, AI work etc, all just works smoothly. Being an avid slick dealer I always am looking for a reason to upgrade myself tho Smilie

I would say that completely depends on which games you play. I tend to play games that happen to be incredibly CPU intensive, so yes, for me the 5600x is a bottleneck. If you play stuff that is easy on the CPU, a 5600x should still be able to hit your 144hz monitor refresh rate at 1440p using a 7800XT.

True, I play alot of single player rpg's, some strategy games, and upon occasion esports titles.

Agree! I use Guru3d for reviews and their GPU shootout is the BEST on the entire web!

Is the performance between 6750xt and 7800xt enough to justify the $480 price tag?

what's not good? This is similar to the 6800xt, it's around 4070 super territory. Has an excellent price to performance ratio
