Just got mine today, from seeing a post 2 days ago. Very thick, maybe 4 inches. Very heavy, and firm. They seem like something I'd like!
Why is everyone so into thick pillows? Aren't there people who like thinner pillows? I've bought several new pillows online and they are always crazy thick for me.
Dunlop is described as firmer/harder BUT it's not as bouncy. In real world usage this makes Dunlop actually feel better to me. If you ever had a generic latex pillow from Kohls or JC Penny etc back in the day, it's around a 5 inch pillow, medium density and cost $60 or less, those were Dunlop latex pillows.
It sounds like a Dunlop latex pillow is what I want. Did you find any that are like those old generic latex pillows?
I hate when the savings are exaggerated. Walmart lists regular price at $38.99. Guessing you got the $67.99 price from the Sealy site? Just looking for transparency

Unfortunately no. It's what I want to, I just want like 1-2 inches taller than those were. My partner still uses one that's actually falling apart inside it's cover lol... it became too low for me, not sure why. I used them forever then all of sudden I just needed a higher one. The most comfortable replacement I found was a gel memory foam but it only kept it's density for about 1.5 years.
You can try Talatex, since they have a return policy. The only other one I was looking at is Turmerry which doesn't. Unfortunately I bought a Birch pillow and it's thin and lumpy af after 1 year. If 5 inches height is good for you try Avocado, they are way over priced though.
Actually I checked and I forgot Turmerry has returns but you pay shipping. But the other thing is they changed their specs again. They might not be reliable. I remember when I first found them they had a blurb and a chart about loft, the two contradicted each other so I contacted them and the chart disappeared after that. But now it says high loft is only 5 inches. That's not high!

Thanks for posting this info...I am a pillow snob, side sleeper and what you stated is exactly what I look for in a pillow. Gonna give it a shot and maybe I can finally retire my old pillow that I have not been able to find a suitable replacement for.
