FWIW you can get NH35 movements on Ali for less than $25

I've done a bunch of Seiko builds off of those movements, all still running solidly.

These are nearly worth it just to scavenge the NH35 out of. It's crazy how you can get an entire automatic watch with a reputable movement for this price, even though the theme isn't for everyone...

For those unfamiliar, the NH35 is a Seiko automatic movement.

It's identical (except for cosmetic differences) to what they put in their own watches.

The NH35 movement is also available in NHL Team Branding, if anyone is interested:

some affordable Invictas are made in china or japan, but other more expensive Invictas are Made In Switzerland (authentic Swiss Made) like this one below:

about $10 more to ditch the sports theme in favor of something more classic. https://www.amazon.com/Invicta-89...D_BwE&th=1

Automatic NH35 for $39, only if I am a big baseball fan, I think I will not mind the 58mm size. Anyhow, very interesting to learn that Invicta has a watch with ETA Valjoux movement even though they are not part of Swatch.
yeah some people here think Invicta doesn't make Swiss watches

You know.. You can say the same thing about so many other old time brands before they were bought out by some Chinese company that just wants to make a quick buck off the name. Invicta has been a bargain bin watch brand for years now..

You know the people who actually rep these watches coming out to defend the watch brand when it just isn't a quality watch. Swiss movements aren't hard to come by and can be bought in bulk. ETA makes a ton of different types of movements. If people are looking to spend thousands on an Invicta.. Then I don't think that needs any words of explanation.

Would the price go up in the distant future if I was to buy it, never open it and put it in a safe deposit box? I also see NFL teams for $59.99.

Put $40 in an S&P fund instead.

Maybe in several generations, after the MLB and the other major sports leagues in the US have folded, to a niche collector?

I'm honestly tempted to buy a Red Sox one for my brother who is a huge fan. My father, an horologist and Yankees fan, would find this *quite* amusing. My brother also doesn't wear watches.
