My devices are more than 9 months old but will not unlock. I keep getting "Unable to connect to the server at this time..." Server communication error error code=1 MSG= Unable to resolve host "apis.t-mobile.com" Pressing continue says "You have not yet met the following requirement - Device must be used on this phone number for 180 days"
What can I do?
Thanks
will port in to get best price w $40 plan.
considering buying either:
--Moto g stylus 2023 (i had one that didnt unlock)
--n30 (never had one)
--razr (this would be a stretch and the most expensive...would prefer either the first )
anyone want to chime in on their thoughts.
kinda leaning to get the n30, as i never had 1.
and the moto stylus was nice, but nothing extraordinary
(maybe the n30 is the same)
a distant 3rd is the razr. not sure what more the razr offers other than being able to fold
the foldableness (not sure that is a word even) , ready 4, wireless charging (to a extend )
are not that impt to me.
i like the 8gb ram, and arguable faster speeds (with 7th gen) over both both MGS & n30.
but is it worth ~$100 more...need to decide
quite bummed the s23fe (and most other samsung models)
are no longer is a suitable replacement.

Geekbench 5.4.5 64 bits:
Phone single core multi core
Stylus 5G 2023 689 2429
razr 2023 588 2290
i had a MGS, for ~6.5 months, it never UL.
i have seen posts from others saying the same.
guess need to decide if is worth the risk of getting another, and wait another 6m.
o my.
Geekbench 5.4.5 64 bits:
razr = Snapdragon® 7 Gen 1 processor
MGS = Snapdragon® 6 Gen 1 processor
n30 = Qualcomm Snapdragon 695
u would think the razr is the fastest of the three

Yes, so I was very surprised when I saw the result… while I don't have n30 right now but I do have a A9 plus which also use 695. Here are benchmarks which also includes
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+

Each phone (Android or Apple) has different ways to unlock.
Generally, To unlock the phone after 180 days
Phone's settings > connection > more connection settings > network unlock
Another summary from i think a moto g stylus 5g 2022
Go to settings > about > device unlock > will get an error saying i cant unlock yet because of _____(it was actually blank) then right below that it says "Try Premanent Unlock" and i clicked that wait about 30 seconds and it successfully unlocked.
Even though you activated your phone and used call and text data for a month, you are saying that it cannot be unlocked after 180 days?

https://consumercomplai
they also let you upload screenshots so show email of activation date make sure its 180+ days since then and show screenshot of Metro unlocking Policy from the website. They will unlock it at that point.

Correct. Used phone/plan for a month, but the phone will not unlock after 180 days. I contacted Metro and they opened a ticket. They never contacted me after that, but I called again to inquire. They told me that the ticket was closed because the phone is already unlocked in their system. Assuming they're not lying, intentionally or unintentionally, there is either another system on their side that they're not checking, which still has the phone locked, or there is some issue on the client/phone side, although I don't know what that issue could be. The phone is on the March security patch, which is the latest one I believe, and the version of the unlock app is 5.13.2, which reportedly worked for others when they unlocked.
4/30/2024 Update: Went to the unlock menu again this morning and today, finally, it showed me the "permanent unlock" option. It wasn't there yesterday. Selected it and after about 20 seconds got the unlocking confirmation and phone asked for a reboot. Inserted a non-metro SIM and it works.
Now the main question is whether this has something to do with the second ticket I created or if the unlock app is just buggy as all hell and it should have worked from the get-go. I'm leaning towards the first option though. Maybe the ticket forced them to find and fix some reasonably widespread issue. If that is the case, it would be interesting to see whether other folks who could not unlock earlier can now unlock.
