We have the steering wheel version on this and it's been a hit for 2 years for our currently 4 year old.

I also have had the car version for a couple of years and my son really loved it. I was tempted to get this one until I spotted several reviews that said the roller broke and then the paper roller scenery started tearing. This never happened for the car version we have so I'm sad to hear the pilot version has this issue.

We got this for Christmas for our toddler and it has been a hit. We bought it for $96, so I feel this price is great. If you get the chance, look it up on YouTube to see how interactive it is. My son especially loves the announcement feature- it actually warps your voice to sound like an actual pilot through the speakers. What's better is that his speech is all gibberish, so hearing that over the com is hilarious

I was excited to get this for our grandkids but noticed a warning on Amazon stating:

That's a warning for me to stay away. Our granddaughters are rough enough on their toys lol.

I got this for my kids for Christmas and had to repair it twice for the same problem. My current fix has been holding strong and I think will continue to hold.

The issue is with the moving picture inside the unit. It is a single, long sticker that is still attached to its backing. A small portion is removed so it can stick to itself. The problem is, the sticker comes unstuck from the backing and itself, removing the tension on the pulleys to move it. My first solution was to just tape it back together, which didn't hold long. My latest fix was to remove the sticker from its backing and put it on a piece of paper and then tape the two ends together. This alleviates the issue of the sticker coming off the backing which ultimately is the root cause. I haven't had any issues once I implemented this change. You shouldn't have to do it, but I already had it and needed a solution.

All that being said, my kids love it.
