There are TONS of people using it!
would i want to do some of those longer trips by train (e.g. Dallas-LA)? maybe not unless i were looking for a more scenic/comfortable ride but it's still a good deal if you're into it

would i want to do some of those longer trips by train (e.g. Dallas-LA)? maybe not unless i were looking for a more scenic/comfortable ride but it's still a good deal if you're into it

I feel like the "comfort" folks are being a bit dishonest here, I'd rather sit on a tight plane for 4 hours then do literally whatever I wanted than be stuck in a train seat for literally 11x longer
I feel like Amtrak only ever makes sense if you're in the northeast on shorter routes.
biggest offenders are people who cycle and don't pay the gas tax, yet they feel like they're entitled to an entire lane on the road.
