Amazon is often wrong about country of origin, especially with German brands. This set is largely made in the Czech Republic with the ratchet and sockets being from Taiwan.

I purchased this set six months ago. It's excellent quality. There are a few repetitive bits that I have replaced. Ie: swapped a Phillips #2 with a square #2. I've used it almost daily. It lives in the console of my truck. I replaced a garbage disposal while at a rental house on vacation that someone who shall remain nameless ruined. Have also replaced a car battery, assembled multiple pieces of furniture, etc. I own all of these bits and sockets in various tool boxes but this kit is so compact and high quality I wish my budget allowed for more Wera tool purchases.

Received this set for Christmas. Keep it in the house for small jobs; light switch covers & kids toys etc. Perfect for anyone's junk drawer and saves me many trips out to the tool chest in the garage. Love all my Wera tools. Building up complete sets of Wera and Knipex.

I love this set. I got one as a gift and bought another to keep in the glove box so I have it with me just about everywhere if the need arises.

Recommend that you check your vehicle owners manuals for the correct size(s), then purchase (a) dedicated spark plug socket(s) in that/those size(s) from a quality manufacturer. Depending on the year and model of vehicles, it could be 5/8" or 14mm or possibly something else. Spark plug sockets typically come with rubber inserts that hold the plug in, and are specifically sized for the depth of spark plugs.

I would also suggest picking up a locking extension if you don't already have one.
What are some quality manufacturers? I don't need snap on quality. Lol thx

Is there a set you recommend then? I saw the negative reviews and it seems just ok
Try these Japanese mini ratchet sets from Tone, much higher quality, and much more versatile than the Wera set.

How bad is it to work on SAE stuff with metric tools anyway, doesn't metric have close enough equivalents all SAE sizes?
No. If you work on both metric and SAE equipment, you need metric and SAE tools.

Here's a conversion chart [tekton.com]. Only the highlighted sizes are considered to be close enough equivalents between metric and SAE.

If you want to go kinda fancy, ARES makes a magnetic set for about $20:

But even the PowerBuilt brand set claims to be manufactured in Taiwan, which is usually a good indicator of hand tool quality:

I use a similar set from Gear Wrench that is my DIY goto. You still need SAE when fixing some appliances and electronics.
What I like about the Gear Wrench is that it comes with a flex shaft for those awkward angles.
Which set from Gear Wrench do you use that's similar?

I bought the Icon version from Harbor freight, have saved me a couple times already.
The Icon set looks pretty sweet, I was comparing the two but ultimately settled with the Wera because it has sockets. Do you own both to make any comparison between the two? Or only the Icon set?

Just waiting for that guy from the other Wera deal to show up and talk about how metric is inferior and anything that uses it breaks, and anything that uses SAE is superior and lasts forever.
Wouldn't mind an SAE version for my range bags. Gun stuff is usually in imperial

Almost everything we own is made in China or somewhere overseas these days. Metric is what the world uses.
Plus every US car made post Jimmy Carter uses Metric. I guess you'll still need Imperial sockets for US appliances, electrical and plumbing.

Do you have any of the wheeler stuff? I honestly ended up buying the big driver kit from them because I kept messing up screws with my normal car stuff. It's the only things that I use on my guns now.

I don't see a tone set with the same diversity of bits, do you have a suggestion?

I've purchased 200 pieces Dewalt, with same amount. It must be good to be poor…
