I have this Kit (Pieced together from Amazon, Costco, Adorama, and Woot purchases) plus the Jamo Atmos ATM Speakers and a JBL 550P SUB instead of the Jamo sub. Absolutely destroys my previous Energy 5.1 Take Classic Home Theater System and sound bars I've tried. 100% happy with my purchase. The only piece of my kit I'm not super impressed with would be the Atmos speakers. Not terrible but I was expecting more. The packaging could also be better. Thankfully none of my items were heavily damaged during transit.
This is pretty similar to what my first starter kit is. I have the S807s though and an onkyo tx-nr686. I've been very happy with it. I am using the Klipsch R100-sw. I got a Jamo sub initially but it took a dump right after a year, so I would advise against that.
So overall a great starter set at a great price. I only wish that I had a higher end set after having it a few years and understanding what I want for my particular needs.
I have had the jamo 5.0 set with bookshelve speaker instead of the towers in this deal for going on a year and think it's a huge value. Beats the heck out of tv speakers and the cheap onkyo setup it replaced.
My only two comments are, be aware how many channels the AVR comes with if you have any plans for more channels. Also my suggestion is buy the set without the sub and splurge on a better sub. I got an open box svs pb1000 which cost more then the speakers but in my opinion stepping up to a sub that can get all the way into low ranges is worth it.
Other wise I think jamos are an enormous bang for your buck.

For the ones that own this system (like me), did you find a good stand for the bookshelf speakers? Trying to get them at couch level without drilling in the walls… TIA
I bought this set (w sub) back in December and it caused me to pull the trigger on the full home theater setup. I am enjoying it immensely and I don't think you can find a better value this easily. Maybe you could piece together other sale items, used, etc. but this seems great to me.
An audiophile may not be happy with it, but I think it's incredible value for the price.
I picked up the full set with sub and receiver about two months ago for this same price and I am very happy with it. My old sound bar does not compare. You will not regret getting the full package. Are these the best speakers money can buy? Probably not but this is a very affordable set to get a solid 5.1 setup.
For anyone more budget conscious (not saying these aren't a good deal), audio equipment is usually pretty cheap on second-hand marketplaces like FB marketplace. I got my first surround sound setup with sub and receiver for about $100 that I have been very happy with. Though, the receiver is older and doesn't support 4k, so I run an optical audio cable to it from the tv (which I think is limited to 5.1? surround).
Sweet deal. If you have the room for the floor speakers of course. I'm very happy with my s803 with the smaller speakers. My Yamaha receiver has some bugs though...
