I don't think I've seen a special this cheap. Would prefer ebony or the silver burst. But this will do, pig.

I did buy it. It's great. Didn't realize it was a matte finish but I dig it.

I just received one yesterday and it is beautiful - but it came poorly set up and I had to adjust the FR and tune it - not a big deal. I have not checked the neck relief (I'm new to this, so one step at a time!)

The bigger issue was that the strap buttons were not screwed in tight, so if anyone get this, make sure you check and snug those up as needed.

I got mine last week. The fret ends are sharp but improving as the guitar acclimates. The nut is just a hair too low on the treble side. Getting buzz on open strings. The neck needed some serious adjustment. The rod is as tight as it can go and it's got just the slightest bit of relief with the stock 9s half a step down. Plays with very low action and minimal buzz.

It stays in tune well. Intonation was set very well. Maybe taking the strings off for a few days will help the neck adjust.

It was shipped double box and came undamaged. I had three previous EVH bumblebees come in damaged from them. Fourth one was double boxed and fine so it seems like they are doing this now.

Overall I'm very happy with it and it will be a great player once it's all tweaked and acclimated.
