235/65/18 is a popular size for large SUVs like Mazda CX-9, Toyota Highlander, Nissan Murano, etc.

Free shipping to home or local Walmart Auto Center. The set of tires I purchased were manufactured in 2023 and 2024.

Just beware if you plan to have them installed at Walmart as well. They may refuse to install them if not OEM specified size.
Its 5% of 235mm larger on the sidewall, almost 12mm. Your speedometer would be 3.1% slow. It would still likely work fine though.
You could likely run this. It's only 5mm larger on the sidewall

Discount tires do the price match and they would install it.
These tires are Walmart exclusive so Discount Tire can't price match them.

I got this deal during Xmas. The installation was a nightmare. First appointment was double booked. Tried appointment in another store but took 2 hours to install. Also broke 2 of my wheel caps. Never
allow them to touch my car again.

These tires suck. Burst on the freeway after ~2000 miles and Walmart wouldn't replace them under their road hazard warranty unless I bought another warranty. Read the 1 star reviews.

I'm not a tire brand snob but it seems the several times I've used Goodyear tires, after 3-4 years they seem to develop hairline crack on the sidewall near the tread. I did not notice this with my Michelin and BFGoodrich brand tires. That must be an indication of different rubber quality. I am actually now happy with cheap South Korean made tires since we've been getting a lot of nails through the sidewall that are not repairable.

A lot of variables can cause a tire to blow up...damaged rim, bad installation, underinflation, pothole, user error etc... Goodyear would BK if their tires blow up after 2K miles. Walmart has to provide a reason why the tire was not replaced under the existing road hazard warranty. Your story has a lot of missing pieces to be credible.

YMMV: I have not had good luck with ordering tires from Walmart. The prices and install (esp for Walmart+) are awesome and the fact you can scheudle the time is really handy, but I have had 3 diffrerent orders for sets of tires. 2 have been cancelled and this last one 3 of 4 tires are "delayed" while the 4th tire was cancelled.
Similar experience recently, twice, for my beater vehicle that's on construction sites a lot.

Good for me though as I ended up going to a salvage yard for some other parts and this. Worked out in my favor in the end. I got rims and almost new tires from same brand vehicle that worked on mine for about a third the cost at Walmart before install. Perfect for what I needed. YMMV for others.

Yep, had that happen to me. I ordered online, and went to get them installed. Waited for them to find them, waited for them to get me in. Then they said oh, can't do it bec not OEM spec. Originals were 15", these were 17", just like the set that were on at the time on 17" rims. Baffling. I'd get it if they were both 15" but different specs, which means they won't be the same, but whatever.

Most tires dry rot after 4-5 years if exposed to the elements. That doesn't bother me, especially if the cracks are located near the thread area (strongest part of the tire). I pay attention to excessive tire bulging at the sidewall (weakest area) or the thread area. A little bulging at the sidewall is OK if you run at the max cold tire pressure label on the sidewall.

Nail @ sidewall is rare unless there are pranksters in the hood.

Any "Walmart only" product like tires are engineered to hit a price point in order to hit a bulk order, and will be inferior in someway in order to keep the costs down. Odds are that these are rebranded Chinese tires. That doesn't mean that they are bad tires. It's just a marketing trick to think you're buying the product you know from a brand that you have a good opinion of when in actuality you are just buying the brand's recognition.

Haven't had any bad experience with Walmart's automotive department or warranties on tires. Used to know a guy who worked there years ago. At least at the time, they had a big pool of money to cover things going wrong. Every time they had to pay to fix something, that pot dropped. If the pot was not zero at, I'm guessing New Years?, the money was given as bonuses to the employees for not messing up. Always thought that was a good program.

The only time I tried to use a tire warranty was when I was learning how to drift, and the tires just fragmented. Knowing I would get caught, I asked my Grandma to go explain that the tire was falling apart. And they saw through that ruse. So, they had to explain to some old lady that you can't power slide, drift, e-brake turns, etc. if you want to use the warranty. So, I had to buy new tires shortly after buying new tires. Expensive hobby I immediately gave up.

These are made in Mexico..and are great for the price. I've been buying the 205 size for my Hyundai for years. Cheaper and smoother ride than more expensive brands.

Beware of using oversized tires if your brake system is stock as it could lead to brake failure or excessive/uneven wear.

Tire Rack also used to have a warning when you went over 3% diameter size increase.
