Just beware if you plan to have them installed at Walmart as well. They may refuse to install them if not OEM specified size.

Its 5% of 235mm larger on the sidewall, almost 12mm. Your speedometer would be 3.1% slow. It would still likely work fine though.

these are trash, got 4 at christmas, they are so loud on the road and cant even have a conversation on the highway. They also scratched all 4 of my wheels with the metal mounting head on the machine. Took them 4 trys to balance them, 8 hours wasted. ill fred flintstone around before I ever let walfart touch my car again.

My walmart special Goodyear Viva 3 are fine, they don't make those anymore asfaik so I'll probably get the reliant.


The walmart initial install was fine for me, actually getting them rotated has been a pain/impossible most times. I would consider paying someone else for lifetime rotations+install unless your time is worthless.

The V rated Reliants that I purchased in 2022 and 2023 were made in USA. Tires sold in the US are certified to meet certain standards Higher speed tires are built stronger. Longer mileage tires have more thread depth/different thread pattern, silica, and carbon black. Modern tire factories churn out thousands of tires per day. It costs more $ to retool tire formulation/tire construction to hit private label price point. Goodyear can sell tires 10-15% cheaper because Walmart buy millions each year.

The price of a tire is proportional to the vehicle that it fits. A popular SUV tire can cost 2x the price of a sedan, even though the cost of manufacturing is +5-10%. A difference of 1 cm in width and 5% aspect ratio can bump tire price by 20%. That's marketing 101.

The Member Mark potato chips taste the same as the Lays chips. These chips probably come out of the same Lays factory.

I bought the Douglas (made by Goodyear) tires from Walmart 8 years ago replaced them with these Goodyear Reliant tires from Walmart with the Black Friday special.

They ride quieter than my Douglas tires. Anyway, I'm happy with them. Also got my air pressure sensors replaced for a reasonable cost.

I got a different size for a car and I agree, these are loud. Didn't have any issues with installation, though. I was out in an hour for 4 tires.

where did you get your tire pressure replaced? How much was it? I have one sensor that went out. Toyota dealer wanted 95 for diagnosis and then part and install addtional.

Walmart sells them cheaper because they take on the Warranty on these.
I had Viva3's on my old Sienna. They lasted longer than the Dunlops it came with, the Falkens I replaced with (lasted only 16K), the Pirelli;s after that (About 22K). I got over 50K on the Viva3, and they still had over 4/32's when I sold the vehicle.

I believe this line is basically based on the last generation of the Assurance line...
Are they the best tires out there, no, but a solid choice especially at the price point. Much better than the Chinese made tires.

I went to a 195 Reliant instead of a 185 on the car door sticker and they did no questions asked. On a different car they mounted new 16 inch snow tires on steel rims on my car that has 18 in stock wheels with no problem either, they even installed my own supplied TPMS in the steel wheels and programmed them for free. This was last year. I have a tire machine now and just do it myself.

Pretty much any new tire will be a lot quieter than any old tire. You can't really compare like that.

I got these installed at Walmart last week on my 2014 Pathfinder, install took about an hour and no problems. Online said pay for install at the store and it would cost 'from' $17 per tire, they charged me about $86 to install the 4 of them which was close enough for me. Guy couldn't explain why it was more than 17 each. I had Hankooks that cost me a shade over 200 apiece at Costco a few years ago, never rotated them and the front tires were worn bad enough to replace despite putting less than 30k miles on them over 5 years. These Goodyears are just a bit louder on the road, but not noticeably loud I'd say. I had planned to spend around $900 on a set of 4 installed, this ended up under $425.

Walmart will not mount a tire that's not the one listed inside the drivers door. If you want any other size mounted, you'll have to bring wheels in loose, not currently on the car. I have 18s that were a factory option, mounted on factory wheels, bought replacements THAT I USED ONLINE WITH THEIR FITMENT WIZARD FOR, and they refused to mount them. It was unreal that they wouldn't listen to the logic. I understand some limitations, but a shred of critical thinking would've been useful too. Another time they wouldn't mount 60 profile for a car calling for 65 either. Just understand that when buying tires at Walmart. Not even going into how they didn't prep and seat tires correctly, causing my tires to leak pressure like crazy. YMMV.

Goodyear Reliant is a Walmart-exclusive tire yes but in non-Walmart form it's the "Kelly Edge Touring A/S". Same UTQG, warranty, tread depth, load/speed rating at same tire size etc. the only difference being the tread itself.

And then there's the even more budget "Douglas Touring A/S". Walmart-exclusive as well and is pretty much a rebrand of the old "Kelly Edge A/S", replacing the old "Douglas All-Season". Same exact tread if you compare. Goodyear just kicked an old tire down the chain (Goodyear -> Kelly -> Douglas) and called it a day.

AFAIK these tires are made in USA, Mexico, and Chile. Good luck
