Guitar Center has Fender Aerodyne Special Guitars & Basses on sale for $699.99. Shipping is free.
You can price match these at Musician's Friend as well if you want 8% back in rewards.
Note: GC/MF may sell you a floor model as "brand new" -- I would recommend calling and asking if this bothers you.

The Franklin Guitar Works Reverb has Used-Mint Aerodyne Special Guitars & Basses on sale for $649 as well. The selection is a bit smaller but will be a slightly better deal if you don't mind having no warranty.

If you can get over the looks, the flatter neck radius (12") than typical fenders (7.5-9.5), and locking tuners, which traditionalists will not like, these are a screaming buy.
These are very nice and have in my experience have perfect fit and finish. I have 4 of them from reverb/FGW (when the price was $599, it's now $649) and all were perfect out of the box. Neck relief was perfect (nearly flat), intonation correct, no high frets. I only had to lower the action slightly, which is a personal preference.
I did not intend to get 4 but after being gobsmacked by the perfection of my first, and noticing that used examples were selling for more, I decided to get more (1 HSS/RW grey strat, 1 burst/RW SSS strat, 1 blue RW tele, 1 grey/RW jazz bass). They were all of similar quality, perfect.

MF has the jazz bass for $699 new, rewards members in cart price: https://www.musiciansfr
I'd definitely call if I was ordering from GC. I saw a floor model aerodyne with dents before. I was so worried when I ordered the tele classic vibe from MF and got an email saying they will ship from my local GC. I actually received a brand new one shipped from a MF warehouse (the local store probably had none in stock).

Ah well, I'll stick with the MIM Player series for now.
