First of all, Apple doesn't design their products to be easily repaired. Just opening an iPhone compromises structural integrity because it requires prying due to the adhesive around the screen. And if that adhesive isn't perfectly replaced then water can get in.
Saw so many shoddy refurbs with loose screws and even parts banging around inside. For a while it was standard to deny service of non-Apple refurbs because they're a liability. Before I left we still denied service if a device had a 3rd party battery because they were so prone to failure and could literally burst into flames in your pocket.
This purchase could work out fine but I wouldn't pay extra for the refurb risk over a used phone. Find a lightly used phone with high battery capacity or just buy it new.

You want to store full seasons of TV shows on your phone? I'm good condition? Your storage will be nuked fast.
Sure you can keep them on the cloud. But I would rather have a good selection of offline music and movies etc....
They can do it, but then drop the pretense of Slickdeals being a place that helps you save money to be a more lucid consumer.
