These aren't Apple refurbs. They're Amazon returns, and anyone dumb enough to buy them deserves the garbage they're getting
Well, aren't you nice.

But why would anyone need 1TB on a phone? 256-512 should be more than enough

Don't support an anti-consumer company like Apple
Dude, they're all anti consumer unless you're basically buying a Fairphone, which unfortunately is a POS. I'm far from an Apple fanboy and stopped using an iPhone when the Galaxy S3 came out, but I'll play devil's advocate in that while their stance on side-loading and right to repair is egregious, at least they support their products deep into their life cycle which is pretty damn pro consumer, plus limits e-waste.

We're just now seeing Google and Samsung finally step up to committing to 5-7 years of support and updates. Yeah, you could load Linage OS on out of support phones, but 95% of people wouldn't know how to or even that it's a thing.

It's hard to find deals on 1TB. Bought a 1TB 14 pro, refurbed with >90% battery (showed up 98) for $830 a few months ago
Wow, I should use AppleCare get it swapped and buy a 15. Still trying to hang out for the 16, but that's tempting.

As much as people are on the anti Apple bandwagon I will say that their support is phenomenal. US based, 24/7, and genuinely help with any issue. I text messaged them regarding questions I had with iCloud family sharing setup and they were very friendly and helped fixed the issue. My iPhone 12 Pro is 2 years past warranty. Yes you don't get as many features but their stuff just works for the most part.

Google's live support for Android is practically nonexistent. If you are having issues with features You have to go to Google Forums. As for device support, having owned a Pixel 4a (which I've kept for free Google photos backup) it's nowhere near as good of an experience trying to reach support. Had a nightmare experience with LG as well trying to get a G4 replaced (infamous bootloop issue) and my one of my family members Samsung Galaxy phone.

IMHO, the iPhone 13 Pro Max camera has more vibrant pictures compared to 14 or 15 models.

Apple outlet refurbished phones have a battery life of 100%, not 95%.
