How is the location of this beach on Aruba? I haven't been in over 10 years. It's close to a Ritz so it can't be that bad, right?

It's in a prime area off beach location like 1 block off beach. It's next to the Marriott and believe you get chairs and umbrellas on beach next to Marriott. Seems like a great deal for 2 bedroom in Aruba

So it's not on the beach? Do you have to cross a street to get to the beach?

Deal used to have breakfast included which is excellent. I don't think it does anymore, which is a big loss IMO.

I stayed here in 2022. It's not directly on the beach. You can either walk about 10 mins through some back roads, or you can take the shuttle from the hotel. It'll drop you to the back of some restaurant that's beachside.

I go to Aruba yearly .Radison Blu downtown walking distance from many shops and malls .It is NOT connected to the BEACH .. The beach would take you 4 min walk cutting through HOLIDAY INN lobby.. Moomba beach bar entrance also which is alley way between Marriot and Holiday inn is another entrance. For this price its center of everyone walking distance

Just as an FYI, while every hotel in Aruba has super-high taxes, this is buried in the terms and conditions at the Travel Zoo site:

Additional hotel-specific charges: A 28.5% tax and $3.50 environmental levy per night are not included and will be paid directly to the hotel. Parking is complimentary.

What they don't state is whether you'll be paying an extra $285 (28.5% of $999 voucer) or 28.5% of the regular 4-night rate, which would be even more. If someone actually finds that out, it would be nice to add to this thread, since it changes the overall price significantly.

Traveling is just tooooooooooooooo expensive these days.. yes, traveling has been "expensive" for tourist/resolt places & areas, but now it's more like price gouging.. for everything... aka Disney prices for everything.... at least with Disney, you got a quality overprice thing/meal, 3rd world countries, you just get a warm smile. lol

Lol are you suggesting Aruba is a third world country?

I would take Aruba over Disney any day. My kids when they were 7 liked Aruba and Cayman Islands more than Disney.

Ignorance is bliss I guess.

Aruba is not that special. You can go to as beautiful beaches and have an assortment of activities in other places, such as Hawaii, Phuket, and Bali. Aruba basically has the beaches, some hiking, and some night life if you're into night bars, but basically hardly any other things to do. Food is insanely expensive -- more than Hawaii. We spend easily $200 per person per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinnner) at sit-in restaurants that were just so-so but nothing special. Lots of folks going to fast food because they're more affordable. There are tons of fast food chains on the island. Promotional plane tickets are sometimes cheap but other than that prepare to spend $20 on breakfast, $45 on lunch, and $80 on dinner -- not including 12% tax. When you add tips and taxes, you'll be shelling about $200 per person on food per day. If you have a few beers or magaritas on the beach with a couple of appetizers, be prepared to pay another $50 on top of the $200. LOL

Aruba has a supermarket and which is better than Any super market in the us. You can stock up there for a week for a $200, including booze.
