Gonna hit up the local shop to make the decision on Roc-n-Soc Nitro vs Ahead Spinal G for throne, but leaning Roc-n-Soc just based on my familiarity.

This is a fantastic kit for a beginner, all the way up to a very experienced drummer.
I have been playing for 20 years, and use this kit for playing gigs (weekly), and practicing (almost daily).
Nothing has failed on it so far after 6 years of what I would consider to be pretty heavy use.
Any references to learn drumming ( I'm completely new)

Check out U.demy drum courses, they have a sale right now. Remove the dot, for some reason this site is removing that word. The Tom Jackson one looks good, only $13.
Edit: Sorry, U.demy sale over. Wait a few months, it will go on sale again.

That said, if you don't have previous history with acoustic set, or are ok with the unnatural drum head feel, the Roland's are a go-to set and this is a great price.
