No you just buy the mower, then fill out the rebate form and they mail you a blower. You dont have to pay anything else.

I read the rebate form as you have to buy the mower and Makita will send you a free blower once you submit the claim. Otherwise, what would stop you from returning the blower back to HD and pocketing even more money.

This almost seems worth it for the batteries alone.

Wish there was a way to hack this, return the mower and keep batteries. Looks like a good deal.

Ha, was just checking brickseek minutes ago, all stores in the area (Upstate NY) now have it on clearance, many units in several stores. Great deal!

Got the NON-self-propelled version of this package over a year ago from Amazon for just over $300, works GREAT...wish I'd switched over to battery powered Makita mower years earlier. For reference I live on a quarter acre...if grass is normal growth, I can mow front/back lawns with this Makita once weekly using just 2 batteries. If we get more rain and grass growth, then I usually need to fully use one set of 2 batteries and about half the capacity of the next 2. Seriously, my favorite mower ever.

I've had this for a couple years now. It's been terrific to mow my small front and rear lawns. If the grass is too tall, you won't get through much grass on one pass with the batteries. If you keep up with the mowing and not let it get too tall, it lasts for quite a while. The self-propelled feature is great and the speed is variable. I like too that it folds up into a 1'x2' footprint and doesn't take up much room in my shed.

edit: I do wish there was more steel used in the construction. there's a lot of plastic which doesn't inspire much confidence in longevity. specifically speaking of the blade housing and case.

I'm kind of pissed I don't have a yard anymore 🤪🤣 or I would have a new mission this afternoon. I would've snatched this deal up in a second. Ahh well back to relaxing and finding more deals.

Does this imply paying an additional $259 upfront and subsequently receiving a rebate of $259?
