This is a good price, and the device has good specs and good controls compared to like the R36s, but it has serious QC issues, lots of peoples are arriving broken or break sh9ortly after. Also the OS on these is garbage and dont expect any updates this is just a clone device not something like an anbernic of miyoo mini. I'm a big fan of handheld emulation devices. I personally own 20 different devices and follow the space very closely. This handheld is ok for this price. IF you get lucky and get a working one. . It wont run barely anything. If you want to get a good handheld spend a little bit more and get yourself a RGXX Plus and get a quality anbernic device.

I didn't see it at $16, it showed $24. Even if it is $16 it's garbage. It wont run barely anything. Spend $35-$40 and get the R36s or the RG35XX and get a device that can actually play the games it has on it.
Hi mwitters Smilie This is in reference to the $16 X6 that Jesse posted, correct? Only reason I ask is because the $38 XU10 in the main post is more powerful than the RG35XX & slightly more powerful than the R36S.

For example:
- R36S has an RK3326 chip + 1GB DDR3 RAM.
- XU10 has the upgraded (slightly faster) RK3326S chip + 1GB DDR4 RAM.

I own all 3 😁 (XU10, R36S, & RG35XX). Thanks in advance!

Since you own so many, what is one you would recommend sub $75 range? I am interested in owning just one. Thoughts?

This is a good price. The XU10 is comparable to the R36S that was on front page in performance and has better d-pad and build quality but not as much community support.

The X6 is not worth it even for $16. No community support. If you're really looking for under $20, get the SF2000 instead.

This is just an Anbernic knockoff. Save your money and buy from a reputable brand.

Saying that I cannot apply the coupon- can't be used in combination with other discounts. Never bought anything from Ali Express before either, so I haven't used a welcome coupon.

Can I use this to play some old SNES games on a TV with my daughter? Is there a better option?

I made a mistake in my comment, i thought this was the X6. So this device is ok, has great specs for the price and decent controls, but many people are getting broken units or they break shortly after. Plus the OS is garbage and wont get many if any updates.

If you want to get just 1 device and you have $75 get youself an RG353XX Plus. Its made by anbernic, the leader in this space. You'll have good support and updates to the OS and it can play most everything this device can. But the RG35XX plus doesn't have analog sticks, if you want analog sticks you can get a R36s which has the same chipset, a good one, for like $40-$45. But the controls are not all that good.

I REALLY recommend you scrape up a little more money and get either the RG353v ($100) or even better the RG405v ($150), you can get horizontal versions of many of the RG line too), for instance there is a RG405m model that is phenomenal and the body is made from aluminum. The RG353XX-H is a horizontal version of the RG353XX Plus. The only difference is the form factor, if you like the PSP style layout and widescreen go with the horizontal. I would get a vertical though unless your getting the 405m cause really only the newer games like psp and ps2 and stuff can use that widescreen, most retro games had a 4:3 screen ratio which is what the vertical ones use. the RG405v has a monster of a chip in it and can even play Gamecube and PS2 games, so for that extra $100 you not only get a very well built console with great controls you get the support of anbernics updates and you're basically adding the ability to play Gamecube, PS2, and Dreamcast games which is HUGE. These cheaper one simply are not powerful enough to do that. The RG353v can play most DC games but not gamecube or PS2. But ya if you want to just try one out I'd get a R36s ($45-$50), it's a good device that can play even some dreamcast games and if you like it, which I know you will these things are so awesome, then get yourself a better one when you have the money.

If you really get into it you can get the best one out there rn it's called the Odin 2. It's a beast it has a snapdragon 8 gen 2 cpu/gpu and can run everything up to and including many switch games. it's made by a company called Ayn. All these can be found on aliexpress.com with the exception of the odin the best place to buy that is directly from Ayn's website.

The RG505 is on sale at the moment. Would you recommend that? I've seen it on the tiktok shop for about $125 after tax and coupon.

So I've never used the 505 and I checked out some reviews and it didnt get the best reviews. It doesnt come with play store installed which is massive.

The 405m is available for under $150 and has trhe same chipset as the 505 the T618 chip, its a great chip, but the 405m has a beautiful and premium CNC aluminum case. For reals I'd just get the 405m it's a beast and that shell is premium it feels like your holding like an iphone.

But if you need that vertical go with the 405V. It's little bit bigger than the RG353v but it has more ergonomic grips.

So what are these devices? Saw this in my feed and thought it was an old school Gameboy. Are games to download free on this or do they come preloaded? I have an 8 y/o and think this may appeal to him, thanks!

They come with like 12,000 on there already on that device. Most of the good games from the 80s and 90s. But you can get roms online easy and put the roms on there yourself with a little research on how to do it, there's tons of youtube tutorials. Heres a good started video to introduce you to the amazing world of retro handhelds.

This guy is like the handheld Jesus. lol His videos are like our bible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c...GaCk&t=48s

Remember this video is 11 months old and there are lots of newer devices now, his channel has reviews for almost all of them I recommend checking out his channel before buying something.
