For example:
- R36S has an RK3326 chip + 1GB DDR3 RAM.
- XU10 has the upgraded (slightly faster) RK3326S chip + 1GB DDR4 RAM.
I own all 3 😁 (XU10, R36S, & RG35XX). Thanks in advance!
The X6 is not worth it even for $16. No community support. If you're really looking for under $20, get the SF2000 instead.

If you want to get just 1 device and you have $75 get youself an RG353XX Plus. Its made by anbernic, the leader in this space. You'll have good support and updates to the OS and it can play most everything this device can. But the RG35XX plus doesn't have analog sticks, if you want analog sticks you can get a R36s which has the same chipset, a good one, for like $40-$45. But the controls are not all that good.
I REALLY recommend you scrape up a little more money and get either the RG353v ($100) or even better the RG405v ($150), you can get horizontal versions of many of the RG line too), for instance there is a RG405m model that is phenomenal and the body is made from aluminum. The RG353XX-H is a horizontal version of the RG353XX Plus. The only difference is the form factor, if you like the PSP style layout and widescreen go with the horizontal. I would get a vertical though unless your getting the 405m cause really only the newer games like psp and ps2 and stuff can use that widescreen, most retro games had a 4:3 screen ratio which is what the vertical ones use. the RG405v has a monster of a chip in it and can even play Gamecube and PS2 games, so for that extra $100 you not only get a very well built console with great controls you get the support of anbernics updates and you're basically adding the ability to play Gamecube, PS2, and Dreamcast games which is HUGE. These cheaper one simply are not powerful enough to do that. The RG353v can play most DC games but not gamecube or PS2. But ya if you want to just try one out I'd get a R36s ($45-$50), it's a good device that can play even some dreamcast games and if you like it, which I know you will these things are so awesome, then get yourself a better one when you have the money.
If you really get into it you can get the best one out there rn it's called the Odin 2. It's a beast it has a snapdragon 8 gen 2 cpu/gpu and can run everything up to and including many switch games. it's made by a company called Ayn. All these can be found on aliexpress.com with the exception of the odin the best place to buy that is directly from Ayn's website.

The 405m is available for under $150 and has trhe same chipset as the 505 the T618 chip, its a great chip, but the 405m has a beautiful and premium CNC aluminum case. For reals I'd just get the 405m it's a beast and that shell is premium it feels like your holding like an iphone.
But if you need that vertical go with the 405V. It's little bit bigger than the RG353v but it has more ergonomic grips.
