If you don't care about gaming performance then why even bother looking at these two

Can anyone explain to me if this is a better deal than the ASUS VivoBook Pro 16X at MicroCenter? https://slickdeals.net/f/17293606-asus-vivobook-pro-16x-laptop-core-i9-13980hx-16-wqxga-16gb-ram-rtx-4070-1tb-ssd-1329-99-shipping

I don't care about gaming performance, am looking to use the laptop for school / work (basically a bunch of web browser tabs) only. I just need a quiet laptop with high refresh.

I think you need to correct the description. In the link, it's mentioned as 1 TB SSD...

you can buy just about any used Chromebook for 20 bucks at Goodwill if you don't want a real notebook.

This seems like an amazing laptop deal with small light weight 3.75lbs form factor and packs a huge punch of power and specs inside a small 14" body.
140w RTX 4070 , 16gb DDR5 ram, i7-13700H, 250Hz 3ms 600nit Mini LED 2560 x 1600, + Per Key RGB Backlit Keyboard.

If this Acer Predator brand delivers reliability, and you are ok spending this reasonable price point, then ok.
But if problems occur like previous poster, tnen not ok

You might be happy with an HP Pavilion Plus and its 2.8K OLED 120 Hz 500-Nits.

Hi, I am sensitive to screen flicker. I tried the recent Lenovo Slim with the OLED screen and got a headache because of the screen flicker. Does anyone whether I might run into the same issue with this laptop with a mini-led screen?

According to the review here, the mini LED does not use PWM.
