Yeah, it's advertising trickery, but it's more that it's not the same company anymore.
I wasted a year+ of suffering with a $100 SD Dual from walmart. It would disconnects and reset itself. Ahh the fun of trying different cables to stop this. (android).
I finally tried ATOTO for maybe $30 more. So good i put in my 2 old cars, one was refub to save $.
1- The ATOTO boots quicker than my old walmart Dual, only few seconds but big when want to turn key and go.
2- After 2yrs almost, very rare reboot. Less than 5 and doesn't forget settings.
3- Wireless android auto and Apple carplay...easily worth the extra $30-$50
4- Backup camera is avail almost right at key turn.
Neg is audio quality and volume isn't as good as more expensive atoto models or other brands.

It works fine and in my Volvo, Hyundai same or better than stock. I just have a pioneer in my other cars and that sounds great for music. Basic atoto without amp sometimes I need ot mess with equalizer and volume. I also noticed my pioneer speaker phone old people didn't know I was on Bluetooth. Atoto even with well placed mic Grandma cant hear me well
That said wireless Android Auto is totally only way to live.
Anyone still remember Sears??
