We all smell different things, but I strongly disagree with this statement. To my nose, Oud Noir has a very approachable, entry-level oud that doesn't have a funk/barnyard spin that can turn most people off. Come to think of it, I think this was the first oud frag I ever bought.
This is also a moot point because you should never buy fragrances off of Amazon. Your odds of getting scammed/counterfeit bottles is high. Reputable fragrance discounters (Jomashop/Giftexpress/Fragrancebuy) have testers for $55 or less anyway, so shop elsewhere.

If you think Oud can sometime smells like rotten wood or fecal matter, then I suggest it's time for you to visit an ENT

I have this scent and like it. If you are not into fragrances, this is one you should test first. It's not the typical sweet smelling cologne style you are probably accustom to. I like it, but I have a few different bottles. I may buy another as a back up. I've heard this may be discontinued. "I've heard" this, but have no evidence tis is the case. I totally agree with both posters before me. Both views are or can be true.
I like it, but that's me. If you don't know what oud is, than it'll be new to you.

This was $50 at Costco if you have a time machine. Great scent.

Amazon's listing is weird because what the hell does 'Oriental' scent mean, AFAIK there is just the one EDP. Sounds like a very real risk of getting fakes due to them using alt packaging/bottle. And yes shipped and sold by Amazon isn't immune to fakes.

This fragrance is wonderful. It's not a generic smelling blue fragrance so that's a plus to folks who want something unique and classy. The oud is not overpowering. It's slightly sweet and airy. I'm tempted to double up.

Smells similar to Tom Ford Oud Wood.. but sweeter. Definitely not a safe blind but, but pretty good if you like "oud" scents. Doesnt have the barnyard/fecal oud smell that some do (no judgment, I like those!)

I prefer the Oud Wood to it as the mix of sweet + oud is a little off to me, but happy to have it at this price

Oud Wood is still a fantastic fragrance, it's just too bad it lasts 1-2 hours now LMAO

It is! There's a new Oud Wood Parfum coming out next month but I can't even justify Tom ford prices anymore. Hearing it might be $600 for 50ml.

While this may smell close to TF Oud Wood, TF fragrances are in league of their own. My only problem with TF Oud Wood is that it doesn't last that long for the $ spent. I have Ombre Leather and it lasts in eternity. Another good one is TF Tobacco Vanille.

I rate TF > Creed for innovation, but that's just me.

I get it, some people like the poop, no judgement. Just trying to warn you regular every day consumers. I have this fragrance and can tell you that I still stand by my statements. Obviously its a designer fragrance and it smells like one. However, Oud does come out and its noticeable, esp. after wearing it for a while when all the pleasant notes are gone. I can assure you that most Americans would diss the smell of Oud.

This is regular price on Amazon, I've had it in my cart for a few months and it drops to $45 at times. I read it's not a safe blind buy and couldn't find it in store to test so I never bought it.
