The Ultra series is the newest Intel CPUs. They are changing the naming convention and adding AI cores .

They are also a lot more energy efficient. Anything below core ultra can't compete with ryzen and apple m cpus for efficiency and battery life.

Faster than 780. Almost 4000 timespy.

But it only ships in late March.

15% restocking fee on returns kills it for me.

Terrible CPU naming. I don't know what I'm buying if I just look at this name.

More or less similar performance as per all the reviews. Intel Arc does perform better in most of the synthetic benchmarks but in real-world applications and games, it is still not as optimized as AMD drivers and Radeon 780M, the most powerful RDNA 3 based iGPU beats it in most cases.

15% restocking fee is a blatant deception of the buyer

8% faster in some benchmarks per Tom's Hardware [tomshardware.com]. It scores a lot higher than the 780, but 3077 is not really "almost" 4000 for timespy https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-core-7-155h-arc-igpu-tested-in-3dmark-timespy-faster-than-amd-rade... [videocardz.com] I believe my max-q 1660ti scores 4000 in timespy, that would be incredible if this iGPU could match it.

Basically, it's on par with AMD's iGPU now. With the 14th gen Ultra Core series I'll not need to look for a Ryzen in order to get playable frame rates with the iGpu. That's what really matters to me.
