WARNING! I just spoke with Ego and they told me this company is NOT an authorized seller for Ego products and therefore you will not be covered under the Ego warranty if you purchase from them.

Also, on the factoryauthorizedoutlet website under warranty information, they do not list Ego as a company that they warranty. (see link below).

And finally, the ratings for factoryauthorizedoutlet are very poor, with some people reporting they were sent broken or used items. But other than all that, it is a great price.

Here is my review from the previous deal $468 for this model with two 7.5 gen 2 batteries (not Gen 3 with the fuel gauge)

https://slickdeals.net/f/17135779-ego-power-21-snt2103-56-volt-lithium-ion-cordless-single-stage-snow-blower-w-peak-power-7-5ah-battery-ego-snt2103-468?v=1&src=SiteSearch

Got 2 good uses in this week and will give my review. I am all in on the Ego system and this is my 7th tool. As far as the batteries I think it uses one completely then the other so not in tandem to possibly generate more power. Hard to tell as you can't see the batteries when their compartment is covered with snow but when I put them on my chargers one was red and the other still fully charged. They lasted as expected but when it gets bogged down you can here the motor strain and thus drain the batteries faster.

Almost 60 years old but in good/great shape and have never used a snowblower before so there was a learning curve. Snow was 6" wet and heavy. This model is not self propelled and going uphill on my slick driveway was a challenge as the machine gets heavy with packed wet slush. I ended up only plowing downhill and then walking back up top in the previous cleared path. It gets down to the ground perhaps too good as sometimes it would get stuck on uneven sidewalk cracks. I see Ego sell boots/skis aftermarket to resolve this. It leaves a clean path with no missed spots but gets clogged easily and rapidly with wet snow.

I think this model will work great with powdery snow. It was a good workout and saved so much time compared to a shovel especially on my 150 foot walkway. Maneuverability is poor especially in tight spots. I would not recommend this model unless you live in an area that doesn't get wet heavy snow and/or have a flat driveway. I live close to the Atlantic Ocean so when we get snow it is often wet more often than not. I will be selling it on FB without the batteries and upgrading to the 2 stage tool only for sure.

This is a great deal. Batteries alone are worth that much. I've had this for 7-8 seasons now and the 7.0 batteries are still going strong. Can get through my entire driveway on one charge. By the time it snows again for a 2nd pass, batteries are recharged. In Chicago so we get both the light and fluffy as well as the wet and heavy snow and this snowblower does well with both.
I've never had a gas snowblower so can't make any comparisons. But I tried both Snow Joe and Greenworks Electric and neither were even close to this Ego Snowblower.

Just called the Ego Customer Service, they confirmed both Max Tool and FAO are authorized purchasers of Ego products. Surprisingly these both companies have the same distributor address. So you can safely purchase Ego products from these websites and they will be covered under Warranty.
I just called Ego customer service, spoke with a representative there and a supervisor, and they confirmed that both Maxtool and FAO are NOT authorized Ego dealers. Thus, no warranty for products bought from them. This was straight from those Ego employees.

I have bought other brands of items from Maxtool in the past and they are authorized for many other brands.

Hope all goes well for everyone.

Yes, that was in late 2020. Home Depot at the time had an ego lawnmower that was normally $700 on clearance for $279. I found one store 40 miles away that had it. I raced down there right went they opened at 6:00 AM before work and bought it!
I got my snow thrower on that 2020 event too. Had to drive 50 minutes to the store and then we spent another 60 minutes searching for it and retrieving it because someone squired it away really good. Got it for $325 which wasn't too bad.

So you believe everything that you read on the internet? The company just copied the description from the ego website. The snowblower comes with a 5 year warranty BUT ONLY IF BOUGHT FROM AN AUTHORIZED EGO SELLER. This company is NOT an authorized ego seller. They are not listed on ego's website and both myself and someone else called ego and were told they are not an authorized seller. And on the factoryauthorizedoutlet webpage under warranty information page, they don't even have ego listed there.

You are the one spreading false information.
BY LAW THEY HAVE TO HONOR THE WARRANTY. IF EGO WONT, THEN MAX TOOL DOES. Screenshot the description, save it for 5 years in case you need it for small claims against Max Tool for false advertising. Easy win

Yes, take a couple of days off, you travel to California, file a claim against them in court. Real Easy. You do that.

For the rest of us who didn't fail first grade math, wasting your time on numerous phone calls and spending a couple of thousand dollars just to travel to California and spending time in court to recoup $400 is not real easy or monetarily worth it. No one is going to waste their time suing over a $400 item.

You don't have to go to Cali.

I have the stage 1 ego. Got it on clearance at Home Depot a few years ago. The rubber paddle begins to deteriorate after a few uses. Especially if you have debris that wasn't cleared out prior to snow falling. I live next to an elderly couple and usually help them out but they have lots of small branches and gravel on their property. I usually clear it out with the ego blower but several times I don't have time to clear it out prior to a storm.

The snow blower is good as long as it's not a big snow storm. The chute will get clogged as the snow accumulates, especially if it is wet/frozen. Spray some liquid silicone spray prior to using it so that it won't get clogged as much.

I'm patiently waiting on a stage 2.

Lmao, Are you new in US? Maxtools will be long gone by that time. Good luck dragging them in the court when the link and landing page wont exist anymore.😆

Snow? I forgot all about that stuff. Been a while since I've seen any of it. Would be pretty useless for me in the North East.

They've probably been sitting for 5 years, which is when Ego puts their stuff on a fire sale. But in my experience battery degradation is very very little, on the order of 5% a day, as these have been sitting at an ideal 80% SOC.
Hopefully not 5% a day for five yearsSmilie

Just buy another from an authorized seller and return it but keep the receipt, problem solved. You're welcome.
They have a fancy name for what you just described...it is called FRAUD.

But even if we discounted the fact that what you described is illegal, it wouldn't work because:

1) This is a discontinued item that is not sold by ego anymore so almost none of the authorized sellers have this snowblower any more and

2) Almost all sellers of snow blowers do not offer free return shipping so it will cost you over $100 to ship the snow blower back.

I have an Ariens gas 21" snow blower now that is auger propelled.
It good for upwards of 2 ft of wet snow conservatively.

Would this be a step down in terms of performance (moving snow) & effort (more effort to push)?
