this model is farking garbage. it has issues handshaking with other usb-c chargers correctly which makes it take FOREVER to charge sometimes. like there is zero reason a 10k power bank should take 10 hours to charge when plugged into a 90W MBP charger using a thunderbolt cable. multiple fast chargers and cables, same result. lots of reviews complaining about the same issue.
the 10,000mah model with the built in usb-c cord does not have this issue for whatever reason.
yeah, i got one of each for my wife. they're almost identical in size and design, i wasn't sure if the cord would be helpful or annoying so i was like why_not_both.gif. was super disappointed that they were so different.
the corded model is $45 with a $7 coupon so if you do need one get this one instead. it does do 30w output and charges quickly as well.
FYI I have the 45 Watt combo charger and battery and think it's way better than any standalone battery bank, albeit smaller capacity. You don't really need more than 5k mAh if you're charging phones. I also have a 20k mAh bank which works well as a bank.
i really like these 10k power banks for travel. I can get by with a 10k all weekend if i charge my phone at night with a wall charger. 20k is way too heavy.

Typically my phone will get me through a day now and I'm using larger capacity batteries for laptops and tablets for the convenience of not having to plug in.

Yeah, it's so odd that the corded version is OK, and the cordless version is complete garbage.
I feel that Anker has been cutting a lot of corners lately and this is the result.
It will take a while for them to destroy their brand but in the short term they are likely making a profit. Typical shortsighted corporate management.

It's cheaper than the 10k inc cord model.
