These take forever to recharge. Anker claims 30W in and out, but the one without the cables don't sync well with PD chargers and end up only taking about 12W input if that. Get the ones with cable built in for true 30W input.

I don't get chargers that don't take a 65w input to charge anymore. All others take so long.

Do you have an example of a battery charger like this that has a 65w capable input?

Has up to 90W input, 100W output. Appears to be a Xaomi brand so it's legit. It's a chonker though.

The bad news is that you can't take any of these on an airplane.
Why's that?

100 watt hours is the TSA limit which seems to amount to about 26,800 milliamp hours, is my understanding. This battery is 10,000 mAh.

It's calculated at 12 volts, this is 120 watt hours.

Whereas it's a decent battery bank, it's only about 5,000mAh truly. I didn't realize till after I had opened it and started playing around with it, it says on the back of the box in reallllllly small font. And IMO it's too big to only be a 5k mAh bank. Weighs about as much as my Anker 20,000 and probably takes up around the same volume of space. One of if not the cheapest 100w output charger I've seen but I wish I would have waited for a decent sale on an Anker one.

Where did you find that?

I don't know anything about electricity but I've been reading about external batteries for years and I've never heard of a 10,000mAh advertised product exceeding the TSA limits. The Amazon product page indicates it's 5 volts.

I've taken my 20000mAH battery several times thru TSA. I usually take it out of my backpack and I place it next to my phone and other electronics so they are ablet o see it and they have never said anything to me regarding that

Fast charging any battery reduces its life. I usually just plug in these things when I am going to bed.

People have gotten firearms past the TSA, doesn't mean it's right.

The real measure of energy storage is Watt hours (Wh).
P = IV. Where I = Current (Amps), V = Voltage (Volts), P = Power (Watts).
Most lithium-ion batteries are 3.6V or 3.7V nominal. 10,000mAh is 10Ah.
So 10Ah x 3.7V = 37Wh.
If you put the cells in series you get 7.4V.
37Wh / 7.4V = 5Ah or 5,000mAh.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk...

So, how did this guy arrive at this figure? There are products advertised as 10k mAh which are 120 watt hours?

"It's calculated at 12 volts, this is 120 watt hours."
