When it comes to tents, reduce 2 persons from the capacity when figuring out how many people may fit; so this one can fit 5-6 people pretty well. I personally take 50% off the capacity if I want to sleep comfortably with camping-cots and stuff etc.
so go easy on The Blazing Saddle Beans around the campfire.

Key pluses of this tent:
- Vertical walls mean that 9 foot dimension provides good usable interior space vs. sloped walls of dome-style tents.
- Vertical walls also make it less leak-prone, assuming you take care of that fly and regularly apply NikWax waterproofing.
- Coleman patented pole-stretched door works like a regular hinged door rather than hanging loose in the opening - big convenience plus. You don't even have to zip it 100% of the time.
- Decent amount of windows provides good ventilation vs other tents.
- Until you've camped in a vertical/cabin style tent of any size, you don't know what you've been missing, comfortwise, vs dome tents. Particularly as you age.
Downsides:
- Fiberglass poles are a weak point. We have a steel pole similar style version that has lasted 12 years of regular use each summer. Yes it is heavy, but well worth it.
- Vertical walls make it less wind-resistant. This is not a heavy-duty tent, so smart to pitch it in wind-sheltered spots.
If we didn't already have plenty of tents, would seriously consider this tent at this price… but those fiberglass poles….

The only fiberglass poles on our older Coleman cabin-style tent are in the door and awning structure.
