I have this. It's fine. You have to uninstall all the Alienware bullshit for it to run well though. It would get frame drops like crazy until I removed the Alienware performance software. Totally counterintuitive.

Alienware software is horsedudoo, I have a recently built rig with a 4070ti and it had issues when I had their software on it just for my monitor, removing it fixed several issues

How's the airflow on this? Last gen has blocked vents and heat up a lot.

I've been looking around, so I saw a few reviews on this. It's an improvement from the r15, but far from best in class.

The reviews I've seen say its pretty decent hea--wise, that said the heat from the gpu is low anyways. I really like the way these cases look personally and as I've said in other posts, my dells have lasted a long time still using one from 13 years ago to game 1080p for shits and giggles.

This is more a okay deal if you get the 10% off. If your going to use the 14700f for work, and gaming I'd say this is a slightly better deal than if it was just gaming.

All and all its a decent+ deal, perhaps I'm blinded by the really nice case Smilie

If your fine with running dlss or fsr for 1440p/4k in a few years if the 12gig vram becomes an issue, this system will last you a while and then you can upgrade the gpu, the system has got a good 1000 w psu.

Also check your CC offers, sometimes you get additional credits/rewards for buying dells.

Haven't had an issue - able to run everything at max without problems.

The CC offers usually max out at say $50, so if you can split the payment over multiple cards with deals that's best. Also it took Rakut like three months of me bugging them to get my cash back approved.

Yep. Everything. Also their driver update support crap. Helped a ton.

FALSE

Maybe R14 and below. But they fixed the airflow on R15. And I know, because I've had one sitting next to me for a year. Barely any heat/fan issues at all compared to R14, R13 and before.

I have this PC with a 4080 and 32GB of ram and its fine. Its also extremely quiet. They fixed the airflow with the R16. Do not buy R14, R13 though, those are very different.

I don't trust Alienware at all, after owning an R11.
It was terrible. The cooling was particularly awful, even with the liquid cpu cooler.
I sold it. Learned how to make my own PC instead.

I went through 5 motherboard replacements on my only Alienware experience, an M17R5. My buddy had a desktop and went through 2 motherboards before selling his. They are not well cooled and the proprietary boards are terrible
