Use coupon code: COS15 for 15% off orders over $50. So if u don't order the minimum for free shipping, at least the code will offset some shipping costs.

Just an FYI. You can get the IKEA Oftast plates, bowls etc for under a dollar for small bowls to around 1.79 for plates when they go on sale.

They are made in France by Duralex. Pretty much the same as these. Thin and strong.

We have used them in our vacation rentals and have only lost 3 pieces in 7 years.

The only thing is they are only in white.

Skip the sets that include mugs. The mugs are just normal stoneware, so you're probably better off just buying whatever mugs you like elsewhere.

This is a good time to replace my old china with some old school "Winter Frost". I've always liked Corelle dinnerware. Thanks OP!

Will this be an upgrade over quality stoneware?

Yup. Lighter and thinner. But still sturdy. Stoneware tends to look rustic. This will elevate your table without being too fancy.

i'd say it's an upgrade in terms of convenience. it's lighter, so easier to handle
stoneware if fancier imo. so not an upgrade in that sense.
most of my dinnerware is corelle. i always think about getting stoneware (and some decent steak knives) whenever i have company over. ultimately, i always succumb to my cheapness by the time guests leave

Functionally, I think it's an upgrade because we are using made in China china we bought at Big Lots about 15 years ago. It's heavy and has served its purpose, but I always thought the Corelle would be a nice replacement. I just like the design and simplicity of it. It's thinner, lighter, and saves space in the cupboard. I think Corelle is good for families.

I grew up around Corelle-ware since most families probably had some back in the day. It's a product that hasn't had to change for 50 years. Made in the U.S. too (except for the made in China Corelle stoneware mugs).

My favorite dish is the 20 oz Small Meal Bowl. We have two of them already (I have no idea where we got them) and they are our most used dish. It's 8 1/2" by 1 1/2". They are usually the first bowl/dish reached for. They're Goldilocks favorite for pasta and rice dishes. To be honest, they are the reason we considered going all in on Corelle ware. It's weird but true.

Corelle is more durable and takes up less space. I also think it's more elegant, but that's a matter of preference. There are many styles/patterns, but we went with plain white (Winter Frost) because it will match with any occasion or table decor.

This is a good tip. We got 2 large sets of Corelle that came with small and medium bowls, but they were both smaller than we thought they would be. We added some larger bowls from Ikea. They don't have the print, but otherwise look and feel similar in quality.

You can't be an official Asian household without at least four different patterns of Corelle-ware in your dish drawer (we are at 5 at the moment). This stuff is great. We've had dishes for over a decade and its highly durable.

I bought some plain white plates and bowls. I have melamine plates that worked fine but are looking worn due to dishwasher usage. Hopefully these will work well.

These are safer than melamine to use in the microwave, and they're very durable.
