Is this better then kirkland French roast? Been looking to buy beans and grinding them at costco to refill nepresso vertuo pods

I'm drinking this stuff now as a latte. It's fantastic value at this price, and guaranteed fresh from Costco (unlike Amazon). Get it!

I'm not sure why you would use French roast in Vertuo pods. It's not best suited for espresso. It's best for drip, pour over, and french press. Even then, it's horrible IMHO.

i got this a few months back when it s&s sale on amazon.
it's far better than italiano and one of the better lavazza
i suspect it's more med-dark as an ash flavor note lingers.

i snagged a sale on perfectto, so i'll start drinking that soon.

Try a coarser grind with a faster shorter extraction. Keep pre-infusion to 5 seconds max. That should lose the ashy taste. Once I had it dialed in, I found the aftertaste to be really good.

I've been drinking this exclusively for Vietnamese coffee (cafe su da) with my espresso machine. I bought 12+ boxes and half way through. Time to refill
