Are you the one joking? Issues logging in are well documented. I wasn't able to play all weekend because of the server capacity issues, managed to get in the other night by retrying for 15 minutes. As you noted they dropped an update today which adds an AFK timer which should help this problem significantly.

Game is definitely fun, replay value remains to be seen as there isn't much variety in gameplay.

So, you pay for it, redeem it, install it and then launch it. It will, very likely, immediately throw an error at launch about "Server at capacity". You can't even proceed to training part.

Workaround:
1. Find a person who is already playing this game
2. Add him/her on steam
3. Go to his/her profile on Steam
4. Click on Join Game option from the profile

The game starts without any server issues. There are plenty of nice folks on reddit who posted their steam id and immediately accepting friend requests.
I bought the game yesterday and did that. Discord community was fantastic as well. Mic is not mandatory but really useful to have. Specially if you want to split the group to finish side quests in parallel.

Toxicity exist in any game that allows you to play online with other people its unavoidable. In an ideal world people would play nice and work together but unfortunately there will always be some individuals that like to troll people and ruin their experience. Friendly fire is part of the charm of this game you need to careful when deploying your stratagems or risk killing many of your teammates. If struggling to communicate with team I highly suggest using a mic or the chat box at least. There are many players on discord and reddit that are for the most true team players. I've put about 50hours into the game and its one of my favorite PvE games in years.

Green Man Gaming is far more legit then CD keys and many other digital stores besides Steam.

This game has been great and I enjoy it. It's way more fun with friends than solo with randoms. But it's also not for everyone. I know a few people that have tried it and didn't enjoy it and stopped, but I know many more that watched people play it on stream and if the streamer was having fun they felt it was worth the buy. I've convinced a couple people to buy it, and when they've played with me they've had a great time. So it's 100% a YMMV.

FWIW, the coupon worked on the Super Citizen version too. Comes out to about the base game + premium warbond costs, I believe.

I was a sucker so I bought it.

It feels 100% in line with theme of the game though and I am glad the warbond perk is persistent and doesn't expire.

My take on this game was the first mission against the terminator bots was intense af. There was a lot of learning going on there. Managed to extract with 30 seconds on the clock, one person on the squad alive and zero reinforcements. Had no idea on how to call in the Hellbombs to clear the objectives and had to Google it live.

But did I have fun? Oh yes.
